Time: 15 min

I will Put all the tools on one table and put some objects on another table. Have them pick a
tool and an object. And I will ask them: What do u do with it?

Guided Experience (group working with the teacher)


I will give them ruler and measuring cup and I will give them cubes, then I will ask them to measure the cubes
and they should that we measure the cubes with the ruler.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)


I will give them the science tools, such as, ruler, measuring cup, hand lens. And I will Ask the
students question about science tools and how can we use them.

Independent Experience(small group activity 2)


Time: 15 min
Small

I will Display a jar filled with some water and I will let each student to measure the jar. The I
will ask them; How many cups do you think this jar has?

Independent Experience(small group activity 3)


I will Display science tools including a balance, a thermometer and a measuring cup.
Then I will hold up a book and a pencil and I will ask the students; which tool should I use to
find out which item is heavier?
Closing
Time: 15 min

I will close my lesson by having all the science tools and asking the students about each tool and for what we
use it.
