The management comprises of 2 partners which are Ms. Mukta Gadgil and
Ms. Mrunal Apte. It is an initiative of both Ms. Mukta Gadgil and Ms. Mrunal
Apte. Initially they started this activity on a small scale but now they are on the
verge of expanding their business. There are approximately 500 to 800 bookings
done per day. The online booking of tickets is done in a secure manner.
The process of booking a ticket is not complicated and any person having
minimal knowledge of internet can book a ticket. They also provide the live status
of flights. Both Ms. Mukta Gadgil and Ms. Mrunal Apte have taken a lot of effort
and put in hard work for bringing up Udaan Airline Bookings and Services.
Now they are interested in expanding in their business and providing their
services in a more efficient manner and to maintain a good relationship with their
customers.
Project Profile
The online ticket booking infrastructure is designed to address the process. The
project aims at automating the ticket booking process which has the following
three modules :-
1. Registration Module
2. Administrative Module
3. Passenger Module
3.Passenger Module :- This module is meant for passengers, where a user logging
into her/his account will view this panel. The major operations included in this
module are :-
a) View all airline schedules, timings, fare details and seat availability.
1) Domestic
In domestic, 100 seats are available and in international type minimum 250
seats and maximum 320 seats are there.
In Airline process three ways are there i.e.
1. One way source to destination
2. Round trip Source to designation to source (return back).
In the origin of form customer have to select code and city name.
In Departure column, customer have to enter their initial date if the trip is
round trip, enter return data too.
The airline system also requires no. of people for reservation.
Customers have to select between two classes is economy and business.
The system shows detailed information to the customers of available seats
of specific class.
In airline travelling passenger can chose direct travelling in which customer
will directly reach to the destination without any disturbance.
After that, customer has to enter his personal details and details of each
member present with them.
Insurance companies provide insurance offers if passengers want.
Customers get invoice based on expenditure.
The customers have to fill all the information for generating their code.
After ticket is booked. The message or e-mail will be sent to customer
contact.
After the ticket is booked, if the customer wants it cancelled then the ticket
cancelling charges will be applied and if it is from airline side, it will be
refundable.
Existing System
Values:-
Travels arranges the stay of the passengers in star hotels and sightseeing
arranged by AC Coaches for customers comfort ability, they take care of
Passengers food (Indian) whenever possible they really try to fulfill all the
customers need. Shree travels assures that they provide the comfortable enjoy
and memorable journey to their each and every passenger.
Vision:-
Universal travels want to be most customer friendly travel company in
India. They provide Best Transfer facilities is their customers. They also arrange
group tours as per the location and duration. The customers satisfaction is the
main motive of the Shree Travels.
The system also allows us to add records when a passenger reserves a ticket. It
enables to add any number of records in our database. But for intrinsic nature of
file handling, retrieval process is slow when we search a particular record in the
database because record is searched sequentially.
A few factors that directs us to develop a new system are given below:
1) Faster System
2) Accuracy
3) Reliability
4) Informative
5) Reservations and cancellations from anywhere to any place.
Feasibility Study
Once, the scopes defined and requirements are gathered, the software team and
others have worked to determine whether if it can be done within the dimensions
just noted. Software feasibility has four solid margins : (i) Finance, (ii) Time
(i) Finance :
The cost required will depend upon the hardware or software required for
developing the system and money which get spend on people working on that
system. The total cost will be in the form of human expenditure, hardware and
software expenditure. The cost can also increase if some change in the system is
demanded by the customer.
(ii) Time :
The team may have to spend a particular time slot for deciding what are
the requirements, central idea and overall structure of the system. Near about
one month will be required for organizing team, designing the system and some
more days for coding and testing the system. The team member should follow a
proper plan and take efforts so that, they dont have to face any risk in the middle
of developing the system or in future. There should also be proper understanding
among the team members.

System Limitations
Our Flight Booking Management System is very
efficient. But it has got some limitations.
Person handling this software must be familiar with
the computer environment.
To operate this system, the user must study the
software first, so that he/she can use it well.
