comprehensibility; final sounds may be evident without interfering with meaning;
4 Little difficulty with consonant sounds; little evidence of final sounds; utters words with considerable
clarity;
5 Little or no difficulty with consonant sounds; able to distinguish stressed from unstressed syllables; no
evidence of final sounds and attempts at linking words;
6 Able to pronounce words with little or no accent; use of stress and intonation is evident for emphasis;
links words by blending sounds; can sound a bit more natural;
