REVISION OF 7 CORE COMPONENTS OF UTAR SOFT SKILLS DEVELOPMENT CERTIFICATE (USSDC) TO 10

CORE COMPONENTS

Please be informed that with effect from 1 January 2018, the 7 core components of USSDC will be revised
to 10 core components as given below:

 7 Core Components
Terms & Conditions to PASS
A minimum of 100 points from all of the 7
components. Minimum 10 points for one
component.
The maximum point for each component is 20.
At least 3 soft skills training programmes organized
by DSSC.
To gain points from competition (internal/external)
students must obtain prior approval from DSA or
faculty concerned and provide proof of
participation.
Normally for each activity, points may be claimed
from one component ONLY.
Total maximum claim for USSDC points for talks: 15
Students who have achieved the maximum claim of
15 points for talks are encouraged to continue
participating / attending as attendance is recorded
in the USSDC Transcript.
Deadline to claim points for UTAR Soft Skills
Development Certificates 1 week before the
commencement of study leave of the final
trimester of the final year of students' study in
UTAR.
Remarks: Students who signed up for USSDC before 2018 are encouraged to take up the activities /
programmes under the core component of Digital Literacy.
