THE EFFECT OF GIVING PROBIO FM PLUS ON PERFORMAN QUAIL AGE 10 DAYS

ABSTRACT

The research aimed to study and to know the effect and the best level of giving Probio FMplus to
Quail performan lasted for 6 (six) weeks and has been done at Animal Husbandry cage, State
Agricultural Polytechnic of Kupang from January to February 2017. This research is designed
based on Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consist of four treatments, they are R0
(Commercial Feed + 0% Probio FMplus in 240 ml drinking water), R1 (commercial feed + Probio
FMplus 0.5% in 240 ml drinking water), R2 (commercial feed + Probio FMplus 1 % In 240 ml of
drinking water), and R3 (commercial feed + Probio FMplus 1.5% in 240 ml drinking water)
repeated for 5 times. The variables observed were Ration Consumption, Drinking Water
Consumption, Body Weight and Conversion Rations. The result of research shows that the
highest ration consumption is at treatment R2 that is 66.2 gr /head /day, the highest drinking
water consumption in treatment R3 that is 43.4 ml / head / day, the addition of highest body
weight in R3 that is 62.33 gr /head /day and the best of ration conversion on R2 ie 1.07gr
/head/day. The results of this study concluded that the addition of Probio FM plus in drinking
water with 0% as control, 0.5%, 1%, and 1.5% showed no significant difference in ration
consumption, drinking water consumption, addition of body weight and ration conversion in
Quail age 10-42 days.
