Mounting Requirements for Pellet Burners and Boilers Controller

NPBC-V3

Mounting requirements for the Control module NHPC-RC2

fig. 1

The Control module should be mounted on a panel with holes for mounting, display, LED
and buttons. To guarantee space between the panel and the Control module, precisely made spacers

should be used. Spacer's height should be 9 mm minus panel's width. This provides for the buttons
0.5 mm standing out over the panel. The panel's holes recommended plan is shown on fig. 2.

Additional requirements:

1. The space behind the Control module should be at least 15 mm.

2. If the spot, where the Control module is mounted is dusty, a dust protective back cover
should be provided.
3. The Control module should be protected with a decorative face panel similar, as on
the plan on fig. 3.
4. We recommend you to support the LCD display on 5.5 mm height over the surface of the
PCB. The support might be made of thin straps or an appropriate rectangular frame in the
invisible part of the display (the visible part of the display is with red lines on fig. 1). The
support must not press the display, because it might breakdown on bending
5. The maximum environment temperature should not be more than 50C.

Mounting requirements for the Executive module NPBC-MB3.3

1. The PCB should be embed, using 5 insulating, 10 mm high spacers.

2. Provide over 35 mm free space over the PCB.
3. The maximum environment temperature should not be more than 55C.
4. The PCB should not be exposed to excessive dust.
5. The cable between modules must not lean on hot parts of the burner, heated on regular use
up to over 85C.
6. To use the controller's serial interface for remote control or a software upgrade, provide
enough space for plugging in an appropriate RS-232 cable to the DB9 connector.
7. The dimensions of the Executive module NPBC-MB3.3 are shown on fig. 4.
