By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:-
i. Talk and response to the story read by giving main ideas and
supporting details about the story read through the classroom
discussion activities.
OBJECTIVE ii. Read and understand the story read by arranging the story
according to its sequence during the Jigsaw reading activity,
answering MCQ questions during the Who Wants to be a Millionaire
game and defining the meaning of vocabulary during the Quizlet
game.
Set induction:
1. Teacher recaps previous lesson by selecting several volunteers to
state what they have learnt previously.
2. Teacher conducts the Picture puzzles activity (Activity 1)

Picture puzzles (Activity 1)

- Teacher calls three volunteers.
- Teacher distributes the picture puzzles and students need to
complete the puzzles in order to form the complete pictures.
ACTIVITIES - Students paste the pictures on the white board and label the
pictures.
3. Students responses regarding the example of folktales are elicited
at this stage and teacher reviews several vocabulary that are
related to the reading text.
4. Teacher introduces the topic.

Presentation:
1. Teacher initiates discussion about folktales.
2. Teacher explains some example of folktales.

Practice:
1. Teacher shows the digital storybook of the story Robin Hood on the
screen.
2. Students and teacher read aloud the story together.
3. Students are given 2 minutes to do silent reading and they have to:
- Understand the main idea of the story
- Find any difficult words
- Pose any questions related to the text
4. Teacher conducts the Q&A session to check the students
understanding of the story and enable them to respond to the story
read.

Production:
1. Teacher conducts the Jigsaw reading activity (Activity 2)

- Teacher prepares the storyline that have been jumble-up.
- In pairs, students have to read the storyline and rearrange them in
the correct order
- Teacher will check the answer during the classroom discussion
activities

2. Teacher continues the lesson with the Who wants to be a

Millionaire activity (Activity 3) and Quizlet activity (Activity 4).

- Teacher asks several multiple choice questions that are related to
the reading text in the form of a game.

- Teacher asks several vocabulary that are related to the reading text
in the form of a game.
Closure:

1. Teacher ends the session by conducting a Mini game-Poison Box

Mini game- Poison Box (Activity 5)

- Teacher starts the music and passes around a box containing
questions to the students.
- When the music stop, the students who is holding the box needs to
open it and answer a question from the box
2. Teacher concludes the lesson by reminding the students about the
moral values that can be learned from the handout given.
