Description
This course centers on the character of leadership with the inte
gration of General Education. The course aims at enhancing stude
nts advanced English listening, speaking, reading, and writing
abilities, and developing their multi-cultural awareness. The co
urse covers four themes:
1. Character: young and social leaders;

With different themes and types of listening, reading, speaking
and writing practice in addition to the various task completion,
students will be able to:
1.Understand different kinds of listening texts that are relevan
t to the themes, including conversations, reports, comments, lec
Course tures, and etc.
Objectives 2.Use acquired vocabulary words and knowledge of General Educati
on to discuss issues and express opinions.
3.Comprehend additional articles that are relevant and/or cross-
disciplinary.
4.Write essays of approximately 300 words. The genres include: a
compare and contrast essay and a persuasive essay.
5.Complete tasks, such as conducting an interview, giving a pres
entation, participating in a mini-debate, writing a proposal, wr
iting a written report, etc.
6.Display and exhibit project work.
Course 1. Students are required to attend all the classes on time
