Here above is my double page spread for my print publication. I have utilised a range of conventions subject to genre. With the dominant image it will take the full capacity
of the page. I have decided this will be beneficial to audiences as the images are going to be taken in a range of locations varying from the photography studio, the
Cleethorpes beach Fitties area and the riverhead Caf. This means that itll give me a diverse range of photographs to select from. With the main body copy, I have decided
to locate the copy surrounding the dominant image. This means that due to the use of this image, I will be wrapping the text surrounding the image. This will incorporate a
dynamic view for the audiences both of the lead article and interpolate both the genre and audience type. Furthermore, a use of a pull quote has been used to draw readers
further. Highlighting a significant part of the article which will take form into an investigative piece. A use of folio has been used to highlight the magazines journalist for this
article alongside to reinforce the brand name of the magazine. This reiterates the significance of the branding to the audience members are therefore will credit the
magazine further. I am also considering producing a webpage for the magazine, therefore a use of the website could be included within the folio convention. The date and
issue number I have decided to locate at the right hand corner of the page, this could be placed in a similar fashion to the folio convention whereby it is noticeable to
audiences however does not take of a large capacity distracting the audiences from the main body copy and significant content. This layout is a simple indication to how I
wish to design the double page spread and may alter due to stylistic changes and alterations when new techniques may be adopted through the editorial processes.

Located above is the initial design I have created for the intended purpose of producing a front cover for my magazine. Firstly, I have decided to include
the stereotypical conventions for a print magazine publication. To access a wide audience whom will be able to automatically resonate with the
magazine. From the uses of the dominant image being placed central to the page. This has meant that the audience has automatically been able to use
the rule of thirds rule. Which means, with this I may wish to include a dominant image taking the form of a medium/ medium close-up range. In terms of
graphology, this has meant that with the uses of anchorage text being placed slightly right as opposed to directly underneath the dominant image It has
challenged conventions in a way that will allow for the audiences eyes to automatically meet and register with the image, following this would then be
the masthead as it is the second largest convention of the page. Therefore with this, it will allow the audience I am targeting towards to build an idea of
the context of the magazine and which genre it takes form of. Other notable stereotypical conventions I have decided to include is the following: Cover
lines and a skyline. Both conventions are tools to further engage the audience members. I have decided to use more than two cover lines either side of
the dominant image to progress to introduce the readers to the context. Having said this, the cover lines will be short but engaging, adopting relevant
linguistic codes according to the genre. Similarly, the skyline will be used as a selling point. Although the masthead is used to entitle the magazine a give a
recognition to branding. A skyline is also a tool to give recognition to branding. Offering the audiences something more to purchase the product, the
skyline is the third convention that is used to engage audience. Concluding this point, the skyline will be used to linguistically convey meaning, with the
genre fitting within the regional sector I will ensure to write a skyline that is complimentary to the region and how the audience can relate and resonate
to that region and the sub-genres that will fit into the magazine. The use of social media graphics has also been used to further the promotion of
branding. As this is a newly published regional magazine, it is vital to consider the impacts of online distribution. Audiences connecting to the brand via
social media websites will allow them to have a better basic understanding of the brand of magazine and to refer to those sites for future issues. This
planned layout design is graphically organised and would interpolate my intended audience type. However, it is necessary to consider how the plan can
be open to changes and development. I wish to challenge conventions by producing a product that is engaging and suitable enough for audiences.

Above appears the initial layout design for the contents page of my print magazine. Conventionally, the magazine concludes of stereotypical
conventions for a contents page within a magazine. I had decided to make use of imagery to accompany the featured article content within magazine.
Using the captions additionally to accompany the images. Giving a background of context for the audiences. In terms of graphology, the layout has been
formalised in a way that remains clear and organised for audiences. However, I wished to challenge conventions throughout to reach out to more than
one primary audience type. Separating and making a clear divide between the lead articles and content inside of the magazine and using columns
within the layout to indicate other content within the magazine. By using the separated images to highlight key feature articles and content, this will
engage audiences by drawing attention to the initial content they had intended on reading as appeared on the front cover. However, providing more of
a background to the context before reading on further. The masthead, stereotypically also dominates the page. Having located the masthead entitling
the contents page to the right, it allows the audiences eyes to firstly meet with the dominant image and other featured images on the contents page.
Again building a basis of knowledge for what will be featured throughout this issue. A use of folio has also been used. This will direct audiences to the
website page of the product where they can find more relevant information regarding the brand. As highlighted previously, as this print publication fits
into the genre of the regional magazine. It is necessary to use promotional tools throughout to not only engage primary audience types but secondary
audience types also. Furthermore another convention that connects to this point is the use of a promotional puff. This can take form of a competition
entry or even a feature of future issues. Having done this, it links to how the magazine can offer something more inside the product and how this can
counteract with how the audience perceives the product, whether they wish to read on and so forth. Vital to mention is how this is a basic initial design
for my product. Building on the baseline for this product was necessary to have a clear understanding of how I wish my product to be organised.
However, it may alter due to comments from peers once the production is carried out.
