further development, the S8/K8
unites our previous series
S3/K3, S4/D4 and S7/K7. The
resulting elevator door is suita-
ble for any building, whether it
is an apartment building, office
building or production hall.

ship fits in unusual widths and
heights with the design type
required for the given situation.

ture of our elevator doors is

Rationality, Silence and

Efficiency.
The S8/K8 has the best easy-
running properties and a con-
stantly high level of efficiency.
Because the cabin door to the
elevator car is insulated against
vibrations, perfect running
silence results. The gearless,
no-maintenance asynchronous
motor with frequency converter
sets the various door functions
into motion with hardly a
sound. The S8/K8 door also
has an extremely compact door
header. This allows the realisa-
tion of minimal floor distances
and efficient space utilisation.

4-panel shaft door.
The drive concept.
As an innovative comfort door,
S8/K8 uses gearless drive
technology with rotary current
motor and frequency converter.
Without any wearing parts, the
drive unit requires no mainten-
ance.
The belt-drive that transmits
the force linearly and with very
little noise is also wear-resis-
tant. The drive is attached with
vibration dampening, just like
the cabin door. This supports
the quiet, harmonious door
operation. The installation of
the drive takes place complete-
ly in the projection of the cabin
door.
In plain English: the drive does
not protrude past the base door
area and is completely inde-
pendent of the cabin height.
Locking system.
Thanks to the integrated,
high-resolution shaft encoder
system, there is only a single
door closing contact. Additional
switches, even limit switches,
would be superfluous, and the
drive can be started up quickly
and easily. All parameters, such
as speed and acceleration, can
also be set in an equally
uncomplicated fashion.
There are two drive types
available: depending on the
door width, either the F5 or
the F2/1 is used.
Insulated car door attachment. Frequency-controlled door drive F5.
The F5 door drive.
This solution is employed for
door widths up to 1150 mm. In
only a single encapsulated hou-
sing, the type F5 encompasses
the drive components motor,
frequency converter and control
into a single unit.
The F2/1 door drive.
The door drive F2/1 is employ-
ed for door widths of 1200 mm
and greater. The motor and
control device with vector-con-
trolled travel curve calculator
are housed in two units.
Nevertheless, this drive type
also has convincingly compact
dimensions.

options makes the comfort door

door. Appropriate for the
surrounding architecture and
appropriate for your functional
demands. If glass doors are
your choice, we will integrate a
Regional Insurance Apartment building, Stauffenbergstrae, short, "invisible" cam.

Upon request, door panels and
frames can be painted or with
lined materials, such as various
special steel coverings. This
ensures a smooth transition to
the corridor. It is represented by
the precise border between the
outer door panel and the floor.

The threshold can be establish-
ed without a visible transition.
In addition to elevated design
elegance, this also has practical
advantages: it prevents dirt
collection and results in fewer
problem sources. Profit from a
noticeably unobtrusive elevator
door, for which high-quality
door safety devices are availa-
ble. For instance, monitoring of
the space in front of the door by
infrared sensor or light curtain
with up to 194 crossed beams.

Performance overview.
s The broad application spectrum of the door series
S8/K8 includes apartment, office and production
buildings. The range of combinations with regard
to door widths and heights as well as the new
possibilities for special, individual designs is
correspondingly large.
s Technology highlights: Special profile guide rails;
standard aluminium threshold profile with a
permissible wheel load of 280 kg; as a special
design, a stainless steel threshold profile with
permissible wheel loads of 500 kg or 1500 kg is
also available; noise-dampened special guide
rollers; protection class IP20 for the entire door.
s The shaft doors fulfil the fire protection regulations
as per DIN 18091 as well as the optional BS 476.
Double-walled, laser-welded door panels provide
solidity and stability.
The Product Spectrum.
s The 2-panel, single-side opening telescoping
sliding door M2T: for the smallest possible shaft
widths with respect to the door width.
s The 2-panel, centrally opening sliding door
M2Z: for passenger elevators with short door
operation times and high handling capacity.
s The 4-panel, centrally opening telescoping
sliding door M4TZ: for passenger and freight
elevators with high handling capacity and large
door widths and small shaft dimensions.
The Door Drive.
s The central element of the compact drive with
vibration-dampened bearing is the gearless
asynchronous motor. The advantages of this
impressively economical and reliable innovation:
among others, no wearing parts, completely main-
tenance-free, no lubrication required, low-noise.
s There are two drive types available:
Type F5 for door widths from 700 1150 mm and
type F2/1 for door widths 1200 mm.
Open doors for every requirement.
The S8/K8 door series covers the broad range of
requirements for use in apartment and office buildings
as well as in industrial manufacturing applications with
average load levels. The quality of our still more robust
doors T3/T6 for freight elevators has been proven in
hard industrial use. In other words: We are open to
every door requirement and will provide you with the
information you need in person, in writing or over the
Internet.
