BrazilianTV Producers is a non-profit international trade program representing more than 100 Brazilian
production companies involved in television and interactive media. The Program gathers top-notch
experienced professionals in the audiovisual sector. Many have earned awards in national and
international shows and are leaders in the Brazilian audiovisual market. Brazilian TV Producers
Program is a public-private partnership among the Brazilian Independent TV Producers Association
(ABPI-TV), the Brazilian Export and Investment Agency (Apex-Brasil) and the Audiovisual
Department of the Ministry of Culture. Our goals are to promote new co-production opportunities,
develop international partnerships and stimulate the Brazilian production sector.

Established on August 1999 in Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian Independent TV

Producers Association (ABPI-TV) is considered one of the most important
audiovisual associations of producers in Brazil.
Its main goal is to foster the growth of the independent audiovisual industry in Brazil.
ABPI-TV represents the independent producers on various policy discussions, in
the federal and state governments, such as: taxation, trade, copyright, broadcasting,
film and sets forth agreements between countries.
With partnerships in the public sectors, created the Brazilian TV Producers
Program, as the driving force for the internationalization and promotion of the
Brazilian independent audiovisual sector.

The mission of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-
Brasil) is to promote and enhance the exports of Brazilian products and services,
as well as contribute to the internationalization of Brazilian companies and attract
investments to the country.
Through projects and initiatives in partnership with the private sector, Apex-Brasil
supports 65 exporting promoting projects in different sectors of economy all over Brazil,
and operates in six industries: agribusiness, housing and civil construction, entertainment
and services, machinery and equipment, fashion, technology, and healthcare.
Annually, the agency invests in the participation of Brazilian companies in
approximately 600 international events, both in Brazil and abroad.
Efforts to internationalize national companies have led Apex-Brasil to open several
Business Centers overseas, with an excellent support infrastructure. Located in Miami,
Frankfurt, Lisbon, Dubai, Warsaw, and soon in Beijing and Havana, these Centers provide
assistance to companies seeking to start branch offices in these countries, by maintaining

The Audiovisual Department of the Ministry of Culture of Brazil has the mission
to plan the film and audiovisual national policy, according to the Upper Council of
Film, and to set general guidelines for the development of the Brazilian audiovisual
and film industry.
To achieve its goals, the Department develops actions in the following fields: direct
promotion of film and audiovisual activities (using the National Fund of Culture and
resources through incentive laws); promotion of distribution networks and spaces
to exhibit Brazilian audiovisual products in Brazil and abroad; research support,
training and qualification of audiovisual professionals; protection and promotion of
Brazil’s audiovisual memory through the Brazilian Film Cinemateque (Cinemateca
Brasileira) and the Audiovisual Technical Center (Centro Técnico do Audiovisual –
CTAv) and finally representing Brazil at international institutions and events related

the Brazilian’s nutritional education. The series teaches the
population at large to adopt rich and nutritious eating habits,

The Trânsito Consciente is a 20-episode series broadcasted by TV

Inspired by a popular folkloric Brazilian song, Stinky Foot

Frog was created as a toy and then became a sequence of
games in the early nineties.

II TOWERS OF SANTÉ
The “Two Towers of Santé” is a documentary about the invasion of two identical unfinished buildings in the neighborhood
of Santa Teresa by 150 homeless families, in 1995. The area is a traditional locality of Belo Horizonte, the third city in
rank of importance among all Brazilian cities. From the symbology of the two towers, its purpose is to find sociological
parallels with the events connected to the terrorist attack against the World Trade Center in September 11 of 2001
by understanding that some situations involving local conflicts of interests may actually match the social and political
portrait of the actual society, which is not Brazilian, neither American, and nor oriental, but worldwide. Four buildings,
three cultures, two motifs, and only one shared reality: the intolerance.
In 12 years Clip made over 100 productions in so many different areas. Our most
successful production “Adrenalina”, an extreme sport TV show, is showing nationally
on “Canal Futura” and internationally on “Globo International”. Clip Produtora aims
at establishing prospects for co-productions focusing on extreme sports , ecotourism
and nature, for the young and adult audience.

Candomblé, a religion practiced by the African slaves

religious rituals and human sons and daughters, like
Iemanjá, the ocean’s orixá.
Comunicação Alternativa is one of the most awarded Brazilian producers of documentaries and journalistic

The book Noites Tropicais allows us to discover the many

sides of Nelson Motta. The famous cultural agitator reveals
his accomplishments as a musical producer, critic, journalist

What if it’s a girl?
What if it’s a girl? is a documentary that

portrays the universe of the young girl involved
in criminal activities in São Paulo and the
context in which she is inserted, through her

a video workshop with a group of Febem’s
inmates, in which we selected some of them to
continue to follow up with after their release.
We produce creative films.

The Adventures of Pilar in Greece is based on a book by

Flavia Lins e Silva in its fourth edition, adopted by many
schools. It shows the trips of Pilar, a girl who becomes an
animation character when taken by her magic hammock
to an imaginary modern Greece. There, she meets gods,
makes friends and lives risky and exciting Greek mythology
moments.

was hit by 9 bullets. The renowned Brazilian musician
and activist lost movements in both legs and one arm.
Recently, he learned about a new treatment with stem
cells that could change his life. The film narrates the
story of his battles for life and to make the world a

TJ Produções is a specialized independent production company, working in production and finalization of television
content. We develop programs, series, documentaries and reality shows. In the production of documentaries, we have
dealt with Brazilian cultural themes like: tribes and Brazilian Indian manifestations, quilombos communities (slaves)
and Brazilian archeology. We have projects of urban reality shows using themes focused in the cultural multiple

GLENN
The whole “Glenn” project was conceived to use the best

resources in the animation art with puppets. Our intention
is to make the program reach its public through a didactic,
intriguing and stimulating narrative. The visual conception
aims to create a magic dimension, reinforcing the enchantment
climate of the stories. The scripts are conceived in short
stories for a better comprehension and assimilation of the
content by the children. All the stories care for moral values,
transmitting ethical principles, ideal of kindness, friendship
and equality between all the characters.
THE HOLLYWOOD’S ARCHITECT – JOÃO ARTACHO JURADO

Our objective is to show the life and work of the architect João Artacho Jurado.
Jurado was polemic because he idealized and made projects that are valuable and
outstanding contributions to São Paulo, even nowadays, mainly because of their
original and audacious lines. Among these valuables, we can point out the Bretagne
buildings and others that were built by him to function as homes, however, a home that
reminded the scenery of Hollywood movies. Jurado was a contradictory man as well.
Son of Spanish anarchists, he lived until the age of 13 in an Anarchist colony in Mogi
das Cruzes and could barely attend school because his father, Ramón Artacho, who died
in 1.954, didn’t allow his sons to worship any national flag, including the Brazilian.
TOTAL ENTERTAINMENT is a film and television production company. Total films are distributed by international
majors companies, such as 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros, and Buena Vista. Its last feature films outperformed
international blockbusters in the Brazilian market. For television, Total was responsible for the successful reality show

Humberto Teixeira is one of the most prolific composers in Brazilian

popular music and responsible for the creation of one of the most
important styles of uniquely-Brazilian music: the “Baião”. For years,
he lived in relative obscurity, known to few as the composer behind
the mythical Luis Gonzaga, who immortalized his songs and made
them some of the most recognizable music in Brazilian culture. The
documentary accompanies his daughter Denise Dummont on her
journey to learn more about her father - the man behind classics such as
Asa Branca and Adeus Maria Ful - which quickly became a celebration
of his work, his plight, his poetry and of course, his music.
