how Virginia responded;
Online Activity
The students will log onto class through their blackboard like
they normally do. The first tab they will click is a video of me
explaining the civil rights movement and some of the key factors
that went into the movement. I will discuss some of the major
early court cases that got the country talking about civil rights.
After completing the video students will have the link listed
below to click.

This website is easy for students to use because it does not

require for students to make an account so they can access the
site quickly. They will create their avatar and follow the
instructions that appear. This simulation will allow the students
to explore the important case of Brown vs. board of education.
To start off their avatar will come up with pre made responses
that are historically accurate and give important insight on the
case. after a few of these responses the student is giving options
as to the response that they give to the judge and it tells you if
you selected the correct answer.

this is a great simulation for students to be able to interact with

technology and learn important details on such a landmark case.
