EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

Speaker 1(Angela Cruz): INTRODUCTION:

Angela: A pleasant morning to everyone, today we will report about our feasibility study which is the
Unicafe,

All: An exceptional venture, for a unique cup of pleasure (tagline)

<introduce all the names> I am Angela Cruz, Irish Del Rosario, Ella Espiritu, and Samantha Domingo

Angela: So lets begin with a question why did we choose to conduct a study about Unicafe, why Coffee?

<1st slide: Why Coffee?>

Angela: Coffee is becoming an essential to a millennial student which creates a market, partnering it
with: mental space, modern design, and serene atmosphere, it can become a safe haven for studying
and relaxing. We provide unique caf experience for students that is available 24/7 that provides
sleeping bunks and shower rooms for the convenience of students who pull an all-nighter or just
nocturnal academic workers. To further know whats Unicafe all about here are their mission and vision.

<2nd slide: NATURE OF THE BUSINESS:>

Angela: Mission: Our mission is to provide a Unique Caf experience to our customers founded on
exceptional product quality and after-sales service. Our relationship with our customers does not end
once you make the purchase, it just starts there. We aim to consistently deliver brewing experience
through our products, services and relationships.

Angela: Vision: To be a on the top of this industry by committing to a culture of quality, excellence,
integrity and passion for all things brewed. And for the benefit of everyone, here are the terms to be
defined:

<3rd slide: TERMS TO BE DEFINED>

Angela:

Unicafe- A juxtaposition of the words unique and coffee that later on became Unicafe.

Nocturnal- People who are awake at night.

24/7- All day, all night in short 24 hours.

And last but not the least

Sleeping bunks- Shelf-like bed that are built into against the walls.

Angela: And to know about our target market, demographics and our marketing strategies here is Irish
Del Rosario to report about our Market Study.
MARKET STUDY

(Speaker 2) Irish: Thank you, Ms. Cruz. Imagine playing darts with your eyes closed, or shooting an
arrow blindfolded. In both cases, your inability to see your target would make it nearly impossible to hit
it. Doing business without knowing who your target market is will prevent you from reaching your
objectives, whether they are to gain profit, increase sales or widening your brand awareness and other
factors that are important to the business.

So for our caf, our primary target market are students along the university belt, Why?

1. First, because thats where our location would be, which is the university belt along the streets
of Manila that caters to UST, FEU, NU, UE and other minorities such as high schools and colleges
that could serve as our secondary target market
2. Second, according to an article entitled Market Focus by Irene Cherkassky, College is their
time away from home and a critical time to formulate their own opinions. It's also a key time to
reach out to them as they start making important purchasing decisions and brand choices.
3. Third, since its a studying caf, it would be reasonable to have students as our target market.
We would like to ensure not only their product purchase but also for their stay to be productive.

DEMAND STUDY

According to Euromonitor, independent cafs continued to dominate the category in 2016, with an 88%
value share, as new players favored opening new concepts instead of franchising.

Independent cafs will likely continue to dominate the category in the forecast period, with new players
entering and exiting as consumers enjoy discovering new concepts and venues for relaxing and
socializing.

Supported by their increasing levels of income and sophistication, consumers will again respond
positively to new concepts, and will welcome discovering new places. This gives independent businesses
the biggest advantage because they possess the most flexibility in terms of conceptualizations and
locations.

Since the demand would be aligned with our target market which are students and currently, a huge
portion of students would be millennials, that is why we have extended our research into the demand
for coffee when it comes to millennials.

So not only are millennials drinking more coffee, but they're starting younger, tooespecially those
born after 1995, who reach for their first cup at an average of 14 years old, according to National Coffee
Association data.

MARKETING STRATEGY

1. Build relationships with the customers

- Of course, we would like to extend ourselves to our customers, so that we could form loyalty,
and by building good relationship with our customers we are enticing them to keep coming
back. Cafs are known to be pleasant and we would like to keep it that way, to ensure an
unforgettable stay in our store.
2. Unique factors
- Having a 24/7 caf that caters to students is one factor that sets our caf from the others. This
will be the first ever caf to be opened up round the clock with unique services (e.g. napping
and showering)
3. Partnerships with student artists
- The company would like to emphasize the importance of creativity, that is why we would like to
partner up with student artist or artists that would like to sell their work, where we would not
only promote their finished masterpieces but also promote their future work such as
commission based art.
4. Digital marketing promotions
- Internet marketing, or online marketing. Social media platforms may also be included to
leverage brand presence and promote products and services. Nowadays, people can access a lot
of information with the touch of a phone, thats why we would like to tap into the internet
world because
Fast Fact: 97% of consumers search for businesses online.
- We understand that social media is used mainly for engaging with consumers but we would like
to expand that idea that we could also advertise and make our brand known. In this age of being
a fast paced society, we must keep up with the trends and familiarize ourselves with our
consumers behavior. Plus, free advertisements!
Fast Fact: 54% of B2C companies report revenue generated from social media leads.
5. Cause Marketing
- Cause marketing is a cooperative effort between two organizations, where we would not just
focus on increasing our profit but also be mindful of our social responsibility. As we partner with
charitable organizations focusing on sending kids to school, part of our merchandises (artists
works) goes to the funding of the program. So, when you buy our products you would be
sending kids to school, which is part of our core competencies.

and product offerings here is our Technical study to be reported by yours truly.

WORK SCHEDULE:

7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am ( 2 15-minute break, 1 one-hour break)

BUSINESS LOCATION:

Our location is in the heart of the University Belt around the district of San Miguel. *insert picture sa ppt

the metro increased by 7%.

EQUIPMENT AND LOGISTICS:

Coffee
Sleeping bags and bunks

High-speed internet

Shower rooms

Open Library (books, tables, chairs)

LOGISTICS:

By definition, logistics refers to the processes of acquiring, transporting, and storing resources along the
supply chain. The company procures different products, raw materials and many more monthly and
relies heavily on the forecast demand data. For example, the forecast shows that the demand for the
upcoming months would be significantly higher compared to the past few months, Unique caf needs to
procure materials needed ahead of time to compensate with that heavy demand. Same goes when the
demand forecast is low to prevent overstock in inventory management. For logistics, we would be hiring
some people to oversee the overall procurement of products. Relationship with our suppliers must be
maintained, too.

PRODUCT OFFERINGS:

Napping & shower services, an open library, high-speed internet connection up to 10mbps, coffee,
dessert, pastries, pasta and bottled drinks.

Angela: And to know more of our manpower and policies here is Ella Espiritu to report our Management
study.

MANAGEMENT STUDY

(Speaker 4) Ella: Thank you, Ms. Angela. Now let's talk about the Organizational Structure: *adlib*

For the manpower requirements to keep the business workiiiin, we will be needing

The store manager is required to regularly manage the overall operation of the store. In particular, a
majority of time is spent supervising and directing the workforce, making staffing decisions, and
ensuring customer satisfaction.

The shift supervisor deploys partners and delegates tasks so that partners can create and maintain the
Unique Caf experience for our customers.

The barista should have solid customer service skills and the ability to work independently as well as
with a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multitask, juggling jobs such as taking orders, making
drinks, calling up customers, and answering product questions is required in order to be a barista.

The storekeepers maintains the facilities such as the shower rooms and bed bunks clean and tidy. They
also check the quantity of stocks and report it immediately to the store manager.

Policies to keep the business ethical and organized:

Equal Employment Opportunity our non-discrimination policy for the potential and actual
employees.
There will have a Minimum purchase of 500 for 6 hr. stay in the caf

We make homey yet productive feeling by making the place organized and clean. Customers should not
only depend to our storekeepers but also be mindful of the things we do as we make this place our
home

Providing toiletries for the customers that will use the shower rooms with a fee of 100.

Health Care our support for healthcare reform that allows us to continue to offer affordable
coverage to our partners

Angela: Thank you, Mariella. Of course, money is very important to sustain our company for the future
so to know more about the cash flows, expenses and other financial related here is Samantha Domingo
to report about the financial study.

FINANCIAL STUDY

(Speaker 5) Sam: The importance of Financial study is for us to have a knowledge on how, when and
where we would allocate the budget we have on hand for us to disperse it in different aspects of our
company. It would also be used as a factual and historical data we can definitely rely on for us to look
back to. It will then be used to further forecast what would happen to future demand and expenditures
within the next few months. So for our initial investment cost, we estimated the amount of putting this
kind of business to be around 2.5Million php excluding the monthly rental fee. Our forecasted revenue
consisting of sales from coffee and other drinks, (435,000), retail (63,000), dessert, (122,000) pastry and
food (128,000), bottled drinks (46,000) and merchandise sales (71,000) plus other revenues amounting
to 3,000php. With that being said, the total forecasted revenue of Uni Caf for a month is 868,000php.
The significance of having a high amount of revenue is that it is used to compensate the expenses
incurred by the company. Without it, a company wouldnt earn profit and wont also be able to stay
viable in the long run. Next one, expenses. The Cost of Goods sold includes the total amount of raw
materials purchased for coffee, inventory, retail, dessert, pastry and food, and bottled drinks amounting
to 302,000php. The payroll expense for the employees monthly wage and salary has a total of
314,000php. For the rest of the expenses, it is placed under the general and administrative part (Read
each with value) having a total of 168,000php. To sum all of the expenses, we have a total of 786,000
php. To compute for the monthly profit of the company, what we have to do is to subtract the amount
of the revenue and the expenses. 868, 000 minus 786,000 equals 82,000php, our monthly estimated net
profit. As we have an overview of all these, we can say that our expected ROI is 2 years. We divided
the initial cost of investment to 12, and then divided the result by 82,000php.

To wrap it up, the main purpose of this study is for us to maintain and foresee the constant growth and
predict the internal & external factors that are affecting the sales. We also aim to minimize the
expenditures to result in a high profit.

Angela: By implementing all of the studies from Market down to the financial studies, Unicafe will surely
be on the top industry by committing to the culture of quality, integrity, excellence and passion for all
the things that we will serve for the customers because Unicafe is,

All: An exemptional venture, for a unique cup of pleasure! Thank you!
