We have come to the end of the second unit in our
Reading Street curriculum. We will spend next week
reviewing the material we have covered during the unit,
and taking assessments to determine if the material was
mastered. If you would like to help your 4th grader prepare
for these reading assessments, please discuss the targeted
reading skills as they relate to their at-home reading and
incorporate the vocabulary words into your conversations at
home. Review topics can be found under Reading (to the
left) and Vocabulary (below). And, of course, continue to
read at home.

Math Vocabulary Words for Unit 1

We will continue working with fractions,
including comparing, adding, and subtracting Lesson 1 fouled, hoop, jersey,
fractions. Decimals will be introduced at the marveled, rim, speechless, swatted,
end of the week. unbelievable

which school special they preferred and our
results were overwhelming. Our class favorite is
P.E. One person who voted for P.E. was our
friend Kyle. Kyle said he likes P.E. because you
get to do active learning.
