Lesson idea implementation: As you address the standards, what will students and teachers do? How will
the project be introduced? How long will it take to complete? How will student learning be assessed? How will
the final product be used to inform/differentiate learning? How will you extend the student learning to a
higher learning level? How will you conclude the lesson? How will you provide feedback to students about
their work? MINIMUM 2 paragraph overview.
I will first begin the lesson by going over the different organelles in plant and animal cells and where they are
in the cells. I will also discuss what the differences are between plant and animal cells, for example plant cells
contain chloroplasts and animal cells do not. Next, I will explain to students that they will be going to the cell

website, which I will have pulled up on the Interactive Whiteboard to show them, and going through the
tutorial and game for both plant and animal cells. First they will go through the tutorial for each cell and then
play the game 1-2 times. Once everyone is done with the tutorials and games, I will go through both quizzes,
which students will complete together as a class so I can check for understanding.
