Day 1. Arrive Cape Town and transfer to the elegant Twelve Apostles hotel for overnight.
Day 2-4.Depart Cape Town on board the luxurious Rovos Rail, for 3 nights in Deluxe Suites.
Off train excursions take place in Matjiesfontein, Kimberley and Pretoria.
Days 5-6. Spend 2 nights at Tau Game Lodge in the Big-5 Madikwe Game Reserve including meals and game activities.
Days 7-8.South Africa via Botswana to Zimbabwe enjoying the onboard elegance of Rovos Rail.
Day 9.Arrive Victoria Falls and overnight at the gracious Victoria Falls Hotel. Enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River this evening.
Days 10 14. Cross over the bridge from Victoria Falls to Livingstone, and spend the next
days traversing Zambia. Then descend the Rift Valley into Tanzania.
Day 15.Enjoy a game experience in the Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania.
Day 16.Arrive Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania then fly to Arusha to overnight in your Plantation Suite
at the Arusha Coffee Lodge.
Days 17 - 18Fly. to Lake Manyara airstrip and transfer to the extraordinary Ngorongoro
Crater Lodge where Masai meets Versailles. See why the Crater is called the Garden of Eden
then enjoy sundowners on the rim.
Days 19- 20Drive. to the Serengeti National Park for 2 nights filled with morning and after-
noon game drives.
Day 21.Fly to Kigali, Rwanda, for an overnight at the Kigali Serena Hotel.
Days 22-23.After a city tour, transfer to the Volcanoes Virunga Lodge (for our exclusive use).
Get up close and personal with the magnificent endangered Mountain Gorillas.
Days 24 -25. Fly to Ethiopia and after an overnight in Addis Ababa visit Lalibela, a fitting world
heritage site, and home to spectacular monolithic churches from the 12th Century.
Days 26 Fly29to. Cairo, Egypt and connect to a charter flight to Luxor to join our floating
deluxe hotel, the Oberoi Philae to cruise the River Nile for 5 days to Aswan.
Days 30-32.Disembark at Aswan and journey to Abu Simbel, then return via Aswan to Cairo
for 2 nights and touring the Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids of Giza. Depart Cairo for you
