Duff Beer Groups Hurricane Harvey Relief Program


Hurricane Harvey has impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans. Duff Beer will
be stepping up and joining the initiative to help the victims of this sad event. Every employee will
be given the choice of traveling to Houston on paid leave to do volunteer work or stay and
produce canned water instead of beer. An additional option for all employees, independent of
their choice, is to donate to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Volunteering on Paid Leave


1. Duff will be organizing several volunteer groups which will be sent to assist in relief
efforts.
2. All volunteers must return to work by 9/30/17.
3. Volunteers will need to work with the Department of Community Relations to schedule
their flights to and from Houston.

Water Production
1. Any employees that are unable or do not wish to volunteer, will continue with normal
operations as part of the reduced staff needed for the relief water production.
2. A mandatory meeting will be held to inform employees of the changes in our operation.
This meeting will take place August 31, 2017 at 8:00 a.m.
3. Meet with your direct manager after the meeting for further instructions.

Donations
1. You will have the option to select a percentage to be removed from your check that will
be sent directly to the Red Cross. A table will be set up outside the main entrance for
signing up for this program.
2. Write a check to Red Cross and drop it off in the main office or donate via the companys
online portal.
3. Donation boxes have been placed all around the warehouse. We will be collecting non-
perishable goods, toiletries, clothing, etc. For information about acceptable items visit
www.redcross.org.
4. Red Cross is considered a 501(c)(3) organization by the IRS, and therefore all donations
are considered tax exempt.
