country to a citizen allowing that person to travel abroad and re-enter their
home country. Since we are traveling we are going to make our own passports
which will also be a travel journal. Each student will be given a passport
template to fold and personalize. We will also be making our own luggage to
hold the different things we collect on our travels. Each student will be given
cardboard, scrapbooking paper, and travel stickers to make and decorate their
luggage.
7. An important part to traveling is how we get there. Ask students how do we
get to where we want to go? As they name the different modes of
transportation make up hand motions. For example when they say plane have
everyone put their arms out and fly like planes. Continue this until car, boat,
and train are also mentioned.
8. A scale will be provided to the students. They will keep their scale in their
luggage. The scale will be used every day after the lesson. The teacher will be
able to go through the luggages and see where each student stands.
