Project Summary

We realized that the best way to not only improve productivity but also morale we
figured the best thing to do was create a school for the Oompa-Loompas. We figured out
space for this school, people to teach the Loompas, and the total costs to make this
school.

2
Introduction

We have come up with a way to not only improve productivity but also improve
morale. We thought up a way to teach the Oompa-Loompas, this will help them not
commit mistakes or common errors as they will have a better understanding in a logical
sense. This will also improve morale because the Oompa-Loompas will get taught more
as they work harder and produce more for the company. We have come up with a way to
house this facility and we have also come up with a few different people to teach the
Loompas. We have tried to make sure we keep costs in mind but we also want to make
sure that we do it right the first time.

3
Rationale & Significance

Our reason for pursuing this project is so we can increase the overall quality of the
products we produce. The Oompa Loompas have a very dull life as they spend all of their
time in the factory. The Oompa Loompas have been complaining about having to work
all of the time. This new academy will give them the off time from work they need and will
benefit the company by increasing the workforce's overall intelligence. With the increase
of consistency in the quality of our products, we will attract more customers and in the
end be beneficial to the company.

4
Plan of Work
Scope
The ideology behind this concept is to give the loompas a more in depth
understanding of common sense. By our knowledge of working with the loompas, they
have some sense of common knowledge, but that knowledge is so little that they still are
flawed workers. When we first crossed paths with the loompas, we were aware of their
lack of common knowledge. After months of training, we believed they were finally
capable to do some tasks without any issues. Now it is time to expand their lack of
knowledge.
Methods
We considered building a facility where the loompas would be able to concentrate
on their education, but due to current expansion plans, we are planning on using existing
space to facilitate this academy. Timing and scheduling is still under consideration. We
do not want this to affect our production rate. In terms of flow, we are considering finding
space away from any working areas so that they do not conflict with one another.

5
Task breakdown
The first plan of action is of course getting this idea approved and finding a safe
facility that encourages learning. A good learner needs a good learning environment.
The next plan of action would be staff. We already have some staff members in mind and
can be found further in this proposal. The staff chosen so far have been selected due to
their experience and background in the area of schooling. We need members who know
what they are doing and are not afraid to enforce policies. The next step is to start
getting loompas enrolled and starting classes. The way we see this working is classes
are in session six days out of the week. These days are broken up into three separate
days: A, B, and C days. These days will alternate, so the first and fourth day of the week
would be A, second and fifth would be B and third and sixth would be C. We would split
the loompas up into three groups and assign them a day. They will all be in schooling at
the same time, but they will have different classes for more efficiency. Meanwhile, the
Loompas that are not in class will be working and making progression at work alongside
studying for classes.

6
Problem analysis
The problem we had encountered was that the Oompa-Loompas were making
simple mistakes and were not thinking their actions through. So we had to come up with
an idea on how to handle the problems they were making but without a huge cost. That
is how we came up with The Oompa-Loompa Academy. The thought process behind this
is that we could have a place where we could teach the Loompas without costing us a
large amount of money. We could use some space that we were already using and hire a
teacher to teach the Loompas. Thanks to this all we would need to do was rotate the
days that the Oompa-Loompas were in class so that we did not have a drop in production
rates.

Biosketch

There are many different qualified professors that we are looking at for teaching at our university.
Here are their bios:

General Toby
General Toby was a survivor of the historic war between the Leprechauns and the Oompa
Loompas. He prefers that you dont ask him about this time. He is a decorated war hero with a no
nonsense attitude that is always looking for his next challenge. He received his education at the
Navy College of the Confectioners - Sugar Location.

Dr. Doolittle
Dr. Doolittle joined the Oompa Loompa World Educator Guide faculty in 1999. Dr.
Doolittle was the founding director of the Oompa Loompas 4 Good Foundation and was
instrumental in the development of the graduate chocolate making program at
Candymaker College. He was appointed Dean of the Candymaker College in 2011. As
Dean, he has directed the College through a period of strong growth in student
enrollment, academic programming and private support. He earned his Ph.D. from the
University of Chocolatier.

Sir Greg

.
Sir Greg has long been a member of the Wonka Industries team. No one is sure
how long he has been here, longer than anyone can remember. Rumor has it
someone found him floating down the chocolate river. He is an internal candidate
who does not feel like he is ready for the job

Budget (Cost Proposal)

Here is our current breakdown of budget percentages to open the school:

8
We came to these numbers when we looked at the impact of the school on the overall profit
margin. We have decided that it is worth investing approximately $1.2 billion dollars in hope that
the business will save on repairs, factory screwups, and counselling for the board Oompa
Loompas.

Conclusion
The mistakes that the Oompa Loompas were making and the benefits this academy will
instill on the company is enough reason for this Academy to be built. We will need to find the
correct facility to host the academy at. Our future teachers have already been found and are
ready to take action and start teaching. The budget is already laid out and very reasonable price
for hope that it will increase product sales to make up for it. This academy is the best way to give
the Oompa Loompas the break they want and give the company a boost in quality to our
products in the future.
