Lesson idea implementation:

As an introduction to the lesson, the teacher will show a sample video about Eric Carle. The video will start
each author appreciation week. At the end of each author study, students will create a video of art that they
created. Students will use AdobeSpark to add pictures, videos, and music to create a movie about an author.
Students can extend their learning by sharing their videos on the classroom blog or on the school
announcements in the morning.

Importance of technology:
I think that the critical part of this is that the students will see Eric Carle read the book the wrote. While it
could be done without this technology, this is a great way to integrate learning about the people that did the
work. Students are also using audio in this lesson.
