Last Saturday, Janet was jogging in the park. She saw a boy and his little sister flying a kite.
Their kite flew high in the sky.
The girl was running excitedly. Her brother followed behind. Unfortunately, the girl fell
into the lake. She got into a panic. She started crying and screaming for help while her brother
stood frozen by the lake.
Immediately, Janet dashed to the lake and jumped into the water. She grabbed her and
managed to bring her to safety. The boy was relieved that his sister was safe. He was grateful to
Janet for saving her.

Question 2
Mrs. Ho was the headmistress of SJK(C) Yuh Hua. Yesterday was her last day before she retired
from the school.
The school organised a farewell party for her at the hall. There were many events on the
day. The pupils dedicated songs, dances and sketches to her. She was also given flowers and
presents. Mrs. was touch but feeling sad to part.
The farewell party finally drew to a close at noon. All the teachers and pupils gave her a
send-off in a decorated car. Everyone was sad because she was a hardworking headmistress.
They will miss her so much.

Yesterday was a Science lesson, Boon Ming and his classmates were so excited as their teacher,
Miss Kong asked them to do an experiment. She gave out empty Vitagen bottles, some cotton
wool and green peas.
First, Boon Ming and his friends put cotton wool into the bottle and added a little water to
moisten it. Next, they put in the green peas. After that, they glued their names on the bottles.
They placed the bottles on a table at the back of the classroom. The following week, they
saw bean sprouts growing out of the bottles. They were on cloud nine with their home-grown
bean sprouts.
