Sunday 10th Pray for our service today, for Gordon Dickey as he speaks, and
Each day please also pray that God would be honoured in the building
project.
Friday 1st As we look forward to the Lords coming, look back at Gods
faithfulness, remember who we are in Christ, and pray rejoicing in His
goodness, mercy and victory, knowing when we depend on Him we "more than
conquerors".
Saturday 2nd Thank God for friendship and fun. Pray for JAM leaders, kids
and their families going to the pantomime this afternoon, that it will be a fun
time and friendships will be deepened.
Sunday 3rd Pray for our service today. For Ian as he brings us Gods word,
that we will all be open to hear what the Lord is saying to us. Pray for JAM as
they start to prepare for the Nativity service.
Monday 4th Pray for our brothers and sisters in Stranaer, Strathendick and
Stromness Baptist Churches. Pray for Ian, John, Linda and Bill as they meet
together tonight.
Tuesday 5th Pray for our Home groups meeting this week. Pray that each
group not only meets to study and learn from Gods word once a week but also
seeks to support and love each other at other times too.
Wednesday 6th Pray for those leading the "Singing Together" at Dovecot this
afternoon, that it would be a time of fellowship and friendship and opportunity
to share God's love and hope with the residents and staff.
Thursday 7th Pray for all those involved in the Joint Building group as they
meet tonight. Pray for wisdom and discernment as they seek God's leading
and guidance.
Friday 8th Pray for David and Dorothy McMillan from BMS, working at the
International Baptist Theological study centre in Amsterdam. Pray for God's
blessing as they seek to equip and empower students with leadership skills
and Biblical understanding, who can then go out into communities and do
likewise.
Saturday 9th Isaiah 64:8. Think of how a beautiful china pot is made. A lump of
clay, moulded and remoulded by the potter. Fired, painted then put back in the
kiln before its beauty is seen. Acknowledge that God, our potter, is in charge.
Praise him for His faithfulness, and ask him to help us stay close to Him
through challenging and hard times. We are work in progress.

Monday 11th Remember our brothers and sisters at Thomas Coats Memorial
Baptist Church, Thurso, and Tillicoultry Baptist churches as they seek to share
God's good news within their local communities.
Tuesday 12th Pray for our BMS partners Victor and Caroline in Guinea as
they help develop self help groups within the community they find themselves.
Wednesday 13th Pray for the service taking place at Dovecot this afternoon.
Pray that those who attend would be able to hear the good news and hope that
Jesus brings us.
Thursday 14th Pray for the Diversity Christmas night being held in Eddleston
tonight, for safety for those travelling to it and a good time of celebration as we
remember Christ's birth and share fellowship together.
Friday 15th Pray for our building project today. Pray for each sub group of the
"building group"- for those looking towards vision and mission opportunities for
the new building - For those looking to how we can pray not only for the project
but also in the wider fellowship. Pray for those who meet with Ranald; for those
charged with grant and funding application; for those heading up the
organizing of fund raising through events.
Saturday 16th Thank God for the provision of the Drill Hall for our meetings
and for the opportunity to witness to the local community through the use of the
notice boards we have. Pray for Jimmy and the other staff who to maintain the
Hall for the community.
Sunday 17th Pray for all attending our service today, that we would all come
with expectation to hear what God is saying to us and then put into action what
we have heard.
Monday 18th Pray for Tiree, Uddingston and Viewfield Baptist Churches today.
Tuesday 19th Pray for Barbara and the work of Vision Ministries. Pray for
Barbara as she continues her recovery from illness and for all those working in
Kibera slum in Kenya, as they seek to share God's love in practical ways with
those who live there.
Wednesday 20th Pray that the good news of the Gospel would shine out this
Christmas time from every part of God's Church in Peebles.
Thursday 21st Pray for all those who are seeking to care for those in our
communities who are homeless, lonely or who are facing particular challenges
especially at this time of year. Pray for Peebles Youth Trust as they distribute
the Christmas hampers to local families, the Salvation Army, Bethany Trust
and Shelter and any group you may know of. Pray for Christmas services in
the High School and Primary schools today.
Friday 22nd Pray for those who are alone this Christmas for whatever reason,
loss of a loved one, family breakdown. Pray they would have a real sense of
God's presence where ever they are. Pray for the Community meal next week
as the Church community seeks to share with those in our local community.
Saturday 23rd In the busyness of Christmas take some time today to sit and
Be Still with the Lord. Reflect on the enormity of what Jesus did that first
Christmas, then pray as you feel led.
Sunday 24th Pray for our services today, the All Age Nativity this morning and
the Watchnight service tonight. Pray that any visitors will feel welcomed and
would be introduced to Jesus through what they see and hear and come to
know Him for themselves.
CHRISTMAS DAY Isaiah 9: 6. Join with our brothers and sisters throughout
the world worshipping our heavenly Father, thanking him for sending his Son.
Thank Jesus for coming and the Hope that He brings. Pray for our brothers
and sisters in Westray, Westwood and Whytes Causeway Baptist churches.
Tuesday 26th Pray for all the preparations for the Community meal tomorrow.
Pray for all those involved in organizing and preparation.
Wednesday 27th Community Meal today. Pray for all who come and share
from different faith backgrounds and no faith background. Pray it will be a good
time of fun, deepening friendships and an opportunity to share God's amazing

Thursday 28th After the busyness of Christmas, take some time to sit quietly,
reflecting on what Christmas has meant for you. Pray as you feel led.
Friday 29th Romans 15:13. May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace
as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the
Holy Spirit.
Saturday 30th Pray for our brothers and sisters in Wick and Keiss, Wigtown

Sunday 31st On the eve of a New Year, look back over the past year at God's
faithfulness, spend some time worshipping Him and thanking Him. Thank Him
that as we as step into a New Year He will be walking with us.
