3
=================================================
August 12, 1997
The following is a list of the Product Modification Requests (PMR's)
reported by customers which are fixed in ISIS 2.1.3. This listing
contains descriptions of the fixes for
ISIS/Draw,
ISIS/Base and
ISIS/ADK (PL and Object Library)
SAR Table
Other Add-ins and
ACD Finder
parts of the ISIS product.
There is a separate PMR Readme for ISIS 2.1.3 J. The changes in 2.1.3 J
reflect changes since 2.0.1 J.
The following are several files you may want to check for changes in the
ISIS/Desktop products.
ISIS/Draw and ISIS/Base ISISDesk.txt
ISIS/PL and Object Library ADKRead.txt
Database Applications Readme.txt in the application directory
Addins and Add-in Manager AIMread.txt
SAR Table SARaddin.txt
ISIS/Base
------------
CW-09294 Opening Base from an alias on the Macintosh changes
the pointer to a watch when it should be an arrow.
CW-13123 Dates formatted to use the Japanese sequence of YY/MM/DD
cannot be updated in an ISIS/Base form.
CW-13347 Improper retrieval if a query has more than one fragment
and an Rgroup.
CW-15087 Data registered to lower level fields after a Database
> Edit Definition does not show up in a table on a form.
CW-15752 Base does not warn if invalid sort instructions are read.
CW-19453 Scrolling through a local database list of records using a table
form consumes Windows memory.
CW-20346 Selection box doesn't always appear when tabbing in a
table to date field until something is typed in the column.
CW-20421 If an IAC transfer is running between Base and Draw
and the user exits Draw using FILE/QUIT, when she exits Base
she will get the warning message "Unable to send data packet by
the IAC". Macintosh specific problem.
CW-20476 The size of a local database list is limited to 65514 records.
Lists in Windows 3.1 databases are limited to approximately
72,000 records. Databases can be larger but the size of
any created list on this platform is limited.
CW-20585 Base Tables consume memory and don't release it when browsing.
CW-20825 A form is printed from a queued PL function upon switching to
another database window. All the text looks OK, but the boxes
and lines are scaled very small to the upper left corner of the
page. Another queued PL function prints a second page
immediately after that one without the scaling problem.
Macintosh specific.
CW-20832 If a SDfile or RDfile containing molecules or reactions with
superatoms is imported into a local database, the superatom
definition is lost, so that only the underlying chemical
structure is displayed in its expanded form.
CW-20949 Selecting "Customize" on the Print dialog box in the ACD Finder
causes ISIS/Base to crash.
CW-21246 If a SDfile contains a structure that includes aliases, the
aliases are stripped during registration leaving a carbon atom.
CW-21624 The Atom Font button on the Box Property > Chem Display tab is
CW-22744 slightly out of the Window in one of the Japanese versions of
Base. General related issue is the need to reconfigure the dial
og
resources for the Japanese version of ISIS.
CW-21649 Crash when adding vocabulary to a local database.
Since upgrading a database to ISIS/Base 2.0.1, the program
crashes each time additional vocabulary items are added to the
fields.
CW-21687 Macintosh users who have a period in their Unix password cannot
log into a remote database.
CW-21804 Structures with implicit hydrogens created using ISIS 1.2.1
do not display properly using "As Drawn" when the database
is upgraded to Base 2.0.2.
CW-21857 Calculated value in Oracle displayed in an ISIS/Base form is
off by a power of 10 on the PC only. Adding an empty line to
the Oracle table seems to correct the problem.
CW-22027 Importing a large SDfile to a local database on the PC running
Windows 3.1 using the merge option causes ISIS/Base to crash.
CW-22508 Prompt for duplicate structures in Import SDfiles does not
work properly if "Merge new data and overwrite existing
data" is chosen from the Duplicate Id option.
CW-22759 List logic does not work when using non-permanent lists
against a Host database. Lists generated through
the 'Generate temporary lists automatically'
feature/session option appear to work. Lists saved
using the LIST | SAVE LIST option when the permanent
check box is unchecked generate errors when used in
the LIST | LOGIC dialog.
CW-22802 Drop-down box listing the available fonts should display
more font options.
CW-22977 Host error message about HostSpecialOp is displayed
when a user double-clicks on a structure field when
a relational database is linked over a molecule database.
CW-23122 Substring searches for Japanese text should be by character
- not by byte.
CW-23149 Performing a structure query on a local ISIS/Base database using
a query that contains an atom list, will cause ISIS/Base to
crash with a Fatal Error message.
CW-23150 Text input to a wide box, then modified in a narrower one
where it must wrap will retain the formatting of the narrow
box when redisplayed in the wider one in spite of the fact
that no Hard Returns were inserted.
CW-23302 Base registers an incorrect formula when the structure
contains multiple groups.
CW-23315 Macintosh printer error message states that the user
should contact MDL for an updated version of the printer
driver.
This is no longer true; the user should contact Apple.
CW-23333 Local databases don't support stereo search for cis/trans
isomers; stereo box no longer works.

ISIS/Draw
=======
CW-17255 TGFfile containing Japanese characters transfer problem
between PC and Macintosh.
CW-22475 TGFfiles lose text justification - left justified text
becomes center justified.
CW-22531 If the user does not save a settings change each time he
changes one on a tab, then the settings changed on other tabs
are not saved. Japanese version specific problem.
CW-22793 Abbreviations listed in the "More Rings" template page to not
work for keyboard entry of rings.
CW-22817 After assigning a list of atoms to an atom location, the
atom tool displays "L" as the default atom. Selection of
this option does not reproduce the previous list as expected.
CW-22837 Double-clicking on a skc file does not open ISIS/Draw
and display the selected sketch.
Corrected behavior: Under Windows 3.1 only one ISIS/Draw
session is allowed at a time; under 32 bit Windows,
multiple Draw sessions are possible.
CW-22893 Different distance between double and triple bonds depending on
whether they are entered normally or by modifying a
single bond to a double bond with the double bond tool
(tool bar button ).
CW-23191 Keyboard entry of a template with the Settings > General
for "Abbreviate typed-in templates" unchecked causes
Draw 2.0.1 J to crash. Also, if the template is preceded
by the character "*", a crash occurs.
CW-23351 Trying to scroll through font list causes Draw to crash
when the Gill Sans MT Ext Condensed Bold font is present
on the computer. This no longer occurs as of 2.1.3.

ISIS/PL
CW-20825 A form is printed from a queued PL function upon switching to
another database window. All the text looks OK, but the boxes
and lines are scaled very small to the upper left corner of the
page. Another queued PL function prints a second page
immediately after that one without the scaling problem.
Macintosh specific.
CW-23327 GetTriggerInteger return value is unreliable if a table
is used to display the data and the "#" key is used to
scroll to a different record.

SAR Table
---------
CW-20442 Error message box displayed when an Rgroup with multiple
attachment points is used for a remote database query and
"Only allow substitution at Rgroups" is checked on the Search
menu is inaccurate.
CW-20522 The presence of SAR Table causes a structure entered to the
second row of a table to use in an "OR" search to be copied
to the first row when the user returns to query mode after the
search.
CW-20596 The help for ISIS SAR table is not accessible on the Macintosh
from the Help > ISIS/Base Add-ins > Add-ins Button > ISIS SAR
Table. Fixed in 2.1.2.
CW-20838 On the PC in the SAR Table Dialogs, Help only works on the
Columns (first) tab; it does not work on the other 4 tabs.
CW-20843 Excel cannot seem to find a SAR Table created by ISIS/Base
unless Excel is open when the SAR Table is created. Even after
"xls" is defined as the extension for Excel, Excel starts but
cannot find the created spreadsheet.
CW-22279 Error message returned when Help > ISIS SAR Table accessed in
Excel. Message is "Cannot find the sarref20.hlp file? Do you
want to try to find this file yourself?" The file is NOT on my
machine.
CW-22357 SAR Table reposition graphics misplaces structures in records
that have been modified with an Excel macro.
CW-22385 SAR table may export incorrect data when used with an uncoupled
table.
CW-22781 The "Display Columns by Label" check box on the "define
Structure Activity Table" dialog box will not remain checked.
Example: check the box, switch to the column format tab and back
to
the columns tab and the box is unchecked again.
CW-22882 If a database definition has more than 239 fields, data from any
CW-23345 of the fields past the 239th can not be exported in a SAR Table.
CW-23158 SAR Table export is changes the values of 10 digit integers.
CW-23317 Unable to launch Excel 8 from within ISIS/Base after the
creation of a SAR Table. Also a problem opening a Excel
spreadsheet created with the current version of SAR Table.

Other Add-ins
==========
CW-19785 Contracted residues show an exact mass of 0 in Draw when
CW-22575 Chemistry > Calculate Mol Values is run.
CW-20761 The Calculate Mol Values add-in will not run if the selected
CW-22520 structure contains a contracted residue.
ACD Finder
----------
CW-20949 Selecting "Customize" on the Print dialog box in the ACD Finder
causes ISIS/Base to crash.
CW-22035 If a non-default Region/country is selected and if you change to
the Address form and select print_current form, mixed data from
two suppliers is printed out.
AP-03562 In ACDFinder with Structure form on display, paste a structure
into the Structure box. Start a SSS search from Query Builder.
At the end of search, change from Browse mode to Query mode,
note that the query structure is not restored.
AP-3651 The MSDS link to ACD Add-In should also support Microsoft's
Internet Explorer.
AP-3712 The ACDFinder that ships with ISIS/Desktop 2.1.2a does not come
configured with an Hview.
Response: That is intentional. Starting with ACDFinder 2.01 (shipped with
Base 212), the functions of the Finder vary according to the
name of the Hview(s) in the RAF. Customers can use the Finder as
ACDFinder, ACD3D Finder, and ACDSC Finder by changing the Hview
name in the RAF.
