Case 1

I would keep record of all the incidents and explain them to his parents. I would say
This week Ive noticed a change in Jacobs behavior. I observed him picking on a new child in
the classroom that is younger than him. He is using aggressive force against this child by pushing
and shoving, and taking toys away from him. After giving the parents a clear insight of Jacobs
behavior, I would then ask Are you noticing any similar behaviors at home? If so, what are
they? Do you have any suggestions to help with these behaviors. if they are seeing the same
behaviors at home. Then we could come up with a clear solution to solve the problem.
Case 2
For this situation I would set up a conference with Lucys parents to go over my
observations, concerns and developmental milestones Ive recorded for her. I would first say the
things Lucy is doing well in. So As I screened Lucys developmental milestones overtime, I
would like to point out that she is doing well in .! However, some things did raise
concern in the social and communication domain. The last two screening evaluations I noticed Commented [JC1]: Clear
that she spends most of her time playing alone in the block corner, and she rarely initiates Commented [JC2R1]: Accurate
interactions with myself or the assistant teacher. I also have never seen her initiate interactions
