RESUMO
The aim of this work was to develop and characterize PVC films, a
synthetic polymer, with different plasticizers agents and in different
compositions, in order to found a substitute for phthalates. According to
recent research works, phthalates were considered toxic materials,
therefore harmful to human. The plasticizers used were di-ethyl-hexyl-
phthalate (DEHP), di-ethyl-hexyl-adipate (DEHA), di-estiralile-adipate
(DEA) and an natural oil named OLVEX 51. The films were
characterized in terms of the thermal stability (using thermogravimetric
analysis), structural characteristics (via infrared spectroscopy) and
morphology (byscanning electron microscopy - SEM). Mechanical
properties, such as, tensile strength, elongation and Young's modulus,
were also investigated, as well as, the release of the plasticizers in
greasy food simulator. The analysis by SEM showed smooth and
homogeneous surfaces, absence of pores for the processed films,
suggesting miscibility between the polymer matrix and plasticizers. The
addition of higher concentrations of plasticizers in the films decreased
the thermal stability, the glass transition temperature, the tensile strength
and Young modulus, accompanied by an increase in the elongation. It
was observed that for extruded films, the mechanical properties were
significant lighter than films obtained by casting. In the analysis of
release of plasticizers, it was observed that all the plasticizers migrate
into fatty food simulator, and the results showed that adipates have
greater interaction with the solvent than phthalates and vegetable oil.
Features such as low migration of plasticizer from "fatty
foods" and high percent elongation suggests that the natural OLVEX 51
can substitute either adipates, as phthalates in the plasticization process
of PVC.

[38].
Gryglewicz destaca que alguns produtos farmacuticos so
No
trabalho, o autor sintetiza o DOA a partir do cido adpico e o 2-etil-
hexanol utilizando a lpase como um biocatalisador [39].
Em 2000, a International Agency for Research on Cancer

So observadas
2927 cm-1 e 2872 cm-1.
saturados e insaturados. So observadas bandas referentes ligao CH
aliftico em 2952 cm-1, 2923 cm-1 e 2854 cm-1 no espectro de FTIR do
leo vegetal. Tambm foi possvel identificar bandas caractersticas de
ster em 1222 cm-1 1172 cm-1 e de ter em 1097 cm-1- 1046 cm-1
[54,56, 61 68].
