Utilized advocacy and negotiation skills through implementation of public health campaigns acting in the
interest of the community.
Worked with legal counsel and a food scientist conducting research to develop rebuttals to studies on the
safety of food dyes published by the FDA.
Participated in grassroots organizing to raise awareness on the behavioral effects of food dyes, contacting
families whose children have been affected by food dyes and asking to share their personal stories.
Developed criteria to be used for a scorecard ranking fast food companies, food manufacturers and food
retailers on their use of food dyes to be used in a future campaign.

Generate and maintain records of all financial activity including fundraising, bookkeeping and
disbursement for school-wide functions and events.
Responsible for reviewing requests and dispersal of funds for the Deans Fund. Student Organizations can
request up to $250 per semester from the Deans Fund to support special events and activities that promote
collaboration, networking and scholarships across all departments in the School of Public Health.
Organized a student panel event for first generation students as well as a School of Public Health scavenger
hunt to help students acclimate to campus and promote team building.
