Title of the Bill: Electric Cars Act

Main Author(s): Rep. Liberty Hsiung and Rep. Edward Chou

BE IT ENACTED BY THE MORRISON CONGRESS

SECTION 1: Findings
Congress makes the following findings:
1) Electric cars can help keep your town and your world clean. It produces less
waste that will contribute to climate change in comparison to fuel based
vehicles. (1)
2) About 60 percent of carbon pollution from the transportation sector comes
from passenger vehicles. If we electrify all of them with renewably generated,
zero-carbon electricity by 2050, we will address a huge part of the climate
challenge for transportation. (2)
3) We found that battery electric cars generate half the emissions of the
average comparable gasoline car, even when pollution from battery
manufacturing is accounted for. (3)
4) Two-thirds of all Americans live in areas where electric cars produces fewer
climate emissions

SECTION 2: Purpose
To change all cars to electric cars in order to reduce the pollution rate of the
environment in the United States.

SECTION 3: General Provisions
Cars that get fueled up with gasoline create a lot of pollution. These past decades,
environment have begun to be polluted. If we ever want to keep our air clean, we
must promote electric cars and make fuels more expensive. In the United States,
people need to drive to get around places as each destinations are fairly far
apart. The government needs to provide benefits make raise the tax in order to
reduce the amount of gasoline cars and make the electric cars cheaper.
