! ? on this particular time that some Ethiopian born jingoes

preferring sub-Ethiopian Jingoism to Ethiopian identity and make our Ethiopian history one of
the most sullied in the entire world?
I dont give a shit for this day then so long as We? nations, nationalities and peoples of . are
dancing around celebrating while our savage leaders are doing a psy-ops and related
crisis exercises behind the curtain so that they would be able to rejoice in another tragedy yet to
happen against Ethiopian and sub-Ethiopian citizens. (in addition to hundreds of Oromos/Somalis
that have been killed and of thousands that have been displaced from their homes in the
Somali/Oromia region.) (just to mention an ongoing tragedy)
What are we celebrating? What are we rejoicing at Then? If not those uncountable murders are
staged as a false- flag?
I used to think that flag day is worthy to celebrate (it does not matter whether its on a day off/day
on basis (of course, as we can see from other countries calling it ...independence day, patriots day,
yada yada) because of my conviction that it's not about what state/condition our country is in, it
is about the feeling and the message behind that this country is our home. I thought that flying a
flag gives us the feeling of home. I was totally wrong! I beg your pardon compatriots! The situation
we are in today really matters and it is not something as simple as flying a flag for our home
country that gives us a sense of pride and honor. Down with unconditional celebration! In this
deathly time in many parts of Local-Ethiopia, it would rather have been better to see the flying
flag flying a half mast and signal our deepest condolences! This was not that simple indeed! if not
impossible!
Flag waving should not be unconditional celebration of (as of today and as it has been for the
last couple of decades under EPRDF) our spirit and history as people. Unconditional is this time
when flag day is meant to honor the significant few for them feeling it as the thankfulness of the
memory of their glorious past. These few groups, but significant, are also honoring their heritage
and traditions as part of their daily lives while they are living on the same land/country but
benefiting from unequal sharing of limited resources to the extent of even exploiting royalty
rights, from insignificant many. The insignificant many are hitherto longing for a chance to, if one
day, they will return to their proper Ethiopian and sub Ethiopian status. Till then perhaps, they will
stay taking the flag celebrating their leaders psy-ops and dancing happily on behalf of significant
few.
At least for the time being, I personally would rather denounce flag day in Ethiopia and it is just a
juicy media drama based on an ever rosy EBC report with no coverage of the fact.
