Objective/s

Overview/Significance of the Activity
The session is designed to enhance and update pedagogical competencies of teachers in relation to
different learning styles of learners. Through this endeavor, teachers will be capacitated to teach 21st century
learners where they are challenged to embrace changes and new trends in teaching. Furthermore, this would
help them deepen their understanding on multitude teaching strategies and in designing activities.
Resources
Funds: MOOE, Canteen fund
Materials: Projector, laptop, meta cards, manila paper,
scissors, tape, marker, copy of sample strategies,
flip chart paper
Duration: 1/12 hour
Instruction:
a. Setup:
A.1 small group with 6 members in a table
A. 2 all materials are prepared in a table
A. 3 Review of the norms during LAC session
b. Icebreaker: Who am I? (5 minutes)
Divide the learners into small groups. Do the Who Am I activity.
c. Motivation: Picture analysis (5 minutes)
The facilitator will show animated picture and ask the participants to interpret each learner.
d. Activities
1. Mind Mapping- Each participant will be given meta cards where they will write word/s
associated with learning styles of learners. The facilitator will process the output of the activity. (5
minutes)
2. The HAT- The facilitator will draw the names of participants using the application The Hat to
answer some questions inside the fish bowl. (5 minutes)
3. Deck of Cards- (3 members in each group-10 minutes)
The participants will be grouped into three groups and each group will be given manila paper
and deck of cards. They will be asked to classify the strategies according to the learning styles of
learners. Let the participants present their outputs.
4. The facilitator will discuss the different strategies appropriate to the different learning styles.
