How did the teacher accomplish her/his objectives?

Mrs. Carpenter took the students through the Addams Family Theme Song step by step.
First they watched the video, then they clapped along, they sung it, and then added the
ukuleles. They reviewed chords and Mrs. Carpenter showed the chords along with
fingerings on the board. They played all together and Mrs. Carpenter asked volunteers to
lay on the vibraphone.
How did the teacher assess individual students understanding?
Mrs. Carpenter asked each individual to come up to her and show her the chord that they
were working on so that she knew each individual could play it.

Mrs. Carpenter was very relaxed and very supportive. She helped any students that asked for
help and she clapped rhythms with them in the beginning to help them figure it out.

Sometimes students started to be social with one another and it was a little bit
distracting for others.
