mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering consulting firm, received various awards
for outstanding performance in 2017. GHT won awards from the Washington Business Journal,
the Engineering News-Record (ENG), the Washington Building Congress (WBC), the
International Interior Design Association (IIDA), and the United States Green Building Council-
National Capital Region (USBGC-NCR). In total, GHT walked away with nine awards so far, this
year.

GHT Limited Sweeps Regional Industry Awards
This year The Washington Business Journal honored 85 Greater Washington area companies
that scored highest among an employee workplace engagement survey. GHT was named one of
The Washington Business Journal Best Places to Work: Large Companies (50-229 Employees).
The Best Places to Work results are collected based on quantifiable survey responses from
employees.
ENR mid-Atlantic announced their results for the Best Projects of 2017, in which GHT received
the Interior Design/Best Project: Nixon Peabody award. Two panels of industry judges reviewed
more than 60 applicants from the D.M.V area. Each project was evaluated on the ability of the
GHT also won three awards from the WBC Craftsmanship Awards. GHT was recognized in three
separate categories. The first, Woods & Plastics: Architectural Millwork GHTs LiUNA Tenant
Improvement project. The second, Electrical: Lighting Systems for GHTs Bracewell and Giuliani
project. Finally, Mechanical: HVAC-Sheet Metal for GHTs work on the Washington Union

GHT Limited Sweeps Regional Industry Awards
GHT has also received an award from IIDA mid-Atlantic Chapter for design. GHT received this
award for their architectural design on the Airbus Experience Center & Government Affairs
Office. The IIDA is a specialized organization dedicated to advancing the knowledge of interior
design among professionals, and expanding awareness and appreciation of interior design
among the general public. Each year the IIDA recognizes the outstanding efforts made on the

GHT won three different awards in the Innovative Project of the Year category. The first, for
interior design for GHTs Nixon Peabody, LLP project. The second, for Existing Building
Performance for GHTs work on 650 Massachusetts Avenue NW. The last, for Health and
Wellness in the Built Environment for GHTs work on the American Society of Interior Designers
D.C. Headquarters.
GHT limited is proud of all the individuals that worked so hard on every one of its projects. The
recognition from these awards only supports GHTs efforts at finding innovative solution to
sustainability in architecture.
