The Service department Marketing and Communication at the University of Twente is responsible for the
recruitment of students, also of all international students. In order to attract more students from a number of
selected countries around the world, we are currently renewing a team of international students to assist us in
reaching our ambitions.

Profile
You are a BSc or MSc student of the UT who lived in India.
You are willing to share your enthusiasm about UT.
You have good knowledge of study choice and decision making process of prospective students in
Greece.
You have a basic knowledge of internationalisation and UT, including procedures for admission and
pre-arrival (from your own experiences).
You would like to advice and work on the UT international recruitment strategy and its execution.
You have basic knowledge of Social media interaction.
You are an active user on relevant Social Media, such as Facebook, etc.
You have good communication skills in English.
Next to studying you are engaged in social activities on the UT, like an active membership of a student
sports club or a student association.
You do not have a UT Scholarship.

Job description

In this position, you will be:

responsible for communication in one specific language and/or country.
be the first helpdesk on study information for prospective students in your language.
the webmaster of a country specific website about the UT.
engaging and monitoring the country-specific Facebook page.
creating interesting content to share on social media.
updating the Wikipedia page of the UT in your specific language.
helping with small media/marketing projects, like updating brochures or hosting webinars in your
language/country.
providing advice about student recruitment in your country of origin.
working on other relevant projects or assist in tasks related to other focus countries from time to time.

The job will normally require between 4 and 8 hours per week (regular availability at the UT is required), but
the weekly workload varies during the year. There will be a group meeting with other international student
assistants once a month at the UT. The assistant will receive a UT Flex contract salary scale 6.0. (appr. 11,38
p/h before taxes). The contract period is until the end of the current academic year, with the option to renew
