VMRC Intergenerational Choir Rehearsal Plan 1


Goals

Good Morning VMRC! Im Maggie and Im so happy to see you this morning.
Please open your music booklets to page 24 to our song, What Child is This.
My goals today are to review all the A sections of this piece with notes, rhythms and
perhaps text. We will also be focusing listening to each other and breath support.

Teach Section A: Soprano

Sopranos, you have the melody, and I think we can jump right in. Could everybody be a
soprano and sing the first 8 measures on text.
Choir sings m.1-8, soprano

Lets now learn the bass part and start adding harmonies!

Everyone EXCEPT sopranos, please echo me

I am going to sing the tenor part 2x, once on solfege/neutral syllable and once on text.
