This document analyzes the stress, deflection, and spring constant of a tapered-thickness beam with constant width. It provides the beam dimensions, properties, equations, and results of simulations. The beam tapers from a thickness of 0.2mm at the base to 0.1mm at the end over a length of 5mm. Under a 0.5N force, simulations found a maximum stress of 763N/mm^2, maximum strain of 0.003815%, deflection at the end of 0.504mm, and a spring constant of 0.992N/mm. Comparative values for a straight beam are also provided.
