Pro1(clarice): house bill 6152 or known as the 4-day-work-week would like to promote

business competitiveness, work efficiency and labor productivity. The bill will allow
employees to work 4 days a week but they must work up to 12 hours a day. With this bill,
there will be production in the business and employees will have a balanced work-life. If
this bill is passed, workers would have more time with their families. Think about their
condition in life especially their relationship with their family (appeal to emotion). Their
poor bodies will gain enough strength and they will spend more time with their family so
their children will have enough attention from their parents which will lessen family
problems.

Con1 (nigel): the house bill 6152 will fail even though its not implemented yet. I can tell it
will fail and reduce employees production rates (hasty generalization). Another fact that
we need to look at is that first world countries such as US work the regular working days
and their workers and employees are productive, we should follow them as well
(bandwagon). Plus if we were going to support this bill, we are purposely reducing and
chocking our own countries economic growth and do we want that (strawman).

Pro2: the bill aims to harmonize and make the company more productive and for
employees to enjoy working & having a work life balance. The 3 day off of employees will
give them enough time to gain strength and to rest body from work. And with this, their
performance in their work will improve because they have enough energy to perform their
task well. The better performance of employees also gives better performance to the
business/ company because the company is well if its workers perform well. And also, in
their 3 day off, employees do not only take their rest but also have enough time to catch up
with their family. They can serve their family. Their children will not feel the absence of
their parents and they will not going to be a rebel in the society because they have enough
guidance. Then teenage pregnancies and the number of undergraduate will lessen
().

Con2: In 4 day work week, employees will have a 3 day off; have time for their family and a
cut on their transportation expenses. But with three day off per week, employees are
required to work 12 hours a day because under the current law, employees must work 40
to 48 hours a week. 8 hours in school per day can already drain the energy of the students,
how much more for employees who will work 12 hours a day (false analogy)? Their 3 day
off will not be a time for their family but will be a time for them to sleep and get rest for
their overworked bodies. So theres still no time for their family. And also, how do the
employees work well if their bodies are painful and tired from their 12 hours of work? How
can this bill make the company more productive if its employees are already getting sick
because of overworked. Instead of making a solution on how we are going to improve the
economy, we are still adding problems and making our country poor. May be one day,
because of this bill, our country will become poorer than rats.
