The purpose of Boot Configuration Data(BCD) is to record the disk partition


information.

When booting the system, the computer is able to find the location of the
Windows Systemfrom the disk partition by referring to Boot Configuration
Data(BCD).

If Boot Configuration Data(BCD) is crashed, the computer will not able to find
the location of the Windows System and you will not able to enter the
Windows System.

For this issue, we can try to use WinPE to recover Boot Configuration
Data(BCD).

1. Boot from the USB drive which has installed WinPE.

2. Input "diskpart" then press Enter.

3. Input "list vol" then press Enter.

4. Now we need to find the position of Boot Configuration Data(BCD) with the
features below.

- Format is FAT32.

- Size could be 100MB/200MB/300MB

From the picture, we can find the Boot Configuration Data(BCD) is Volume 2.

5. Input "select Volume 2" then press Enter.

6. Input "assign Letter Z:" then press Enter.

7. Input "exit" then press Enter.

8. Input "Bcdboot C:\Windows /s Z: /f UEFI " then press Enter.

9. Input "exit" then press Enter

10. Restart the system.
