IIPM
The Indian Institute of Planning and Management is the largest and one of the pre-
mier business schools in India. IIPM was established in 1973 by Dr. M.K Chaudhuri
who took over as research professor and director after resigning from professorship
with The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. It has been ranked amongst

Private Equity Investment Services

Deal Origination: GSIC through its strong networks and wide reach is able to
source exclusive deals for its private equity clients.These deals are closely scrutinized

Initial Proposal Screening: GSIC assist entreprenuers in various companies with


initial prposal screening in order to map the investment philosophy of the client with
the business proposition after a preliminary analysis of the business model. GSIC

I. Analytics
• Stock screening and selection - companies are screened based on Shari’ah
laws and financial strength determined using ratios such as debt to market
capitalization, liquid investments to market capitalization, receivables to market
capitalization etc. Firms involved in “Harram” business such as alcohol, tobacco,
obscene entertainment etc are excluded.

GSIC also follows guidelines offered by Shari’ah scholars.

• Portfolio Monitoring & Purification - GSIC provides fund tracking &
