Conversation and presentation topics

Students can select one or more of the topics listed below for the two oral
tasks they have to do: a five-minute conversation in pairs, and an
individual presentation (3-to-5-minutes), supported by PowerPoint, Prezi
or any other programme.

1. English as a global language


2. The importance of learning foreign languages (FLs)
3. Your ideas about a good methodology to learn FLs
4. How FLs are taught at primary school: your experiences as a student or
as a teacher
5. How (and why) your life has changed. Can/did you control the
changes?
6. Differences between generations, habits, food, free time activities,
7. Procrastination and other weaknesses
8. Online friends, virtual relationships. Advantages and disadvantages.
9. Crimes on the social networks, cyberbullying, identity theft
10.New media and digital literacy in childhood. How important is it in the
classroom?
11.Urban legends. It must be true, I read it on the internet
12.Your favorite novel and/or author
13.April Fool. Playing jokes on people

In the conversation, make sure you introduce expressions to keep the


conversation going (unit 1), to agree and disagree politely (unit 2), to
make, refuse and accept offers (unit 3); and to express surprise (unit 4).
