COURSE: BFC43502 OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH

SEMESTER/YEAR: SEM 1/ 2017-2018
TASK: GROUP ASSIGNMENT 1

I. Instruction:
This assignment is to be carried out in a group of MAXIMUM five (5) members.

II. Introduction:
As a contractor of an upcoming building construction project, list the requirements for OSH
that you need to do that comply with legislations. You are also required to do site
planning/layout arrangement for safety provisions to ensure safety and health of the
workers and other persons at the workplace.
III. Things to do:
Every group need to find one real building construction project and get the
details/background of the project, together with the site layout drawing (plan
view drawing of the site). Use the details/information obtained as if they were
your own upcoming project details.
Prepare a comprehensive report, maximum 20 pages (excluding appendices).
Proposed contents of the report are as follows:

1. Introduction your company and project background.

2. Requirements for OSH including site planning, administrative
arrangements and site layout. Relate these requirements to OSHA 1994 and FMA
1967, and BOWECS Regulation 1986 (see example below).
