2018 Partnership Opportunities

The Lake County Captains are a Minor League Baseball team owned by two
local families, the Carfagna and Murphy families. The families are lifelong
Clevelanders and huge supporters of the northeast Ohio community.

The Captains have a player development contract with


the Cleveland Indians who are responsible for providing
the players, coaches and training staff for the team

The Indians have five Minor League Teams:


Columbus Clippers Triple-A
Akron RubberDucks Double-A
Lynchburg Hillcats Advanced-A
Lake County Captains Single-A
Mahoning Valley Scrappers Short-Season-A

Who are the Lake County Captains?


The Captains organization is greatly supported
by the local community and make it a priority to
give back and show their support.

In 2017, the Lake County Captains and Captains


Charities donated over $92,500 to the
community through in-kind donations, cash, and
community service hours!

Various volunteer efforts included fundraising


for the Miracle League of Lake County,
Broadmoor school baseball day, and Skipper
appearances to local business functions and
schools to name a few.

Captains in the Community


While Classic Park served as the home of the Lake
County Captains for 66 openings during the 2017
season , Classic Park was the host of a number of
other events throughout the calendar year.

Events included: the City of Eastlake Easter Egg Hunt, various


high school baseball games, a Red Cross blood drive, 4th of
July fireworks for the cities of Eastlake, Willowick and
Wickliffe, the Celtic Festival and the Grand Slam 5K

Non-Game Events
The Lake County Captains played their 15th season in northeast Ohio. During the
2017 season, the Captains sold out 9 games and drew over 210,000 fans to Classic
Park over 66 openings averaging over 3,100 fans each game!

During the 20 Fireworks Nights, over 110,000 fans entered Classic Park; thats an
average of over 5,500 fans per fireworks show!

On Saturday, August 5th, the Lake County Captains honored a Game Events /Attendees
number of former professional athletes from the Cleveland The Willam Harridge Trophy

2017 marked the 15th season of Captains Baseball.
Through the years, families have been able to
enjoy baseball at an affordable price. The
Captains strive to provide a quality experience for
all fans and help create memories along the way.
The Captains unveiled a brand new state-of-the-
art video board and the new Captains Wall-of-
Fame plaques as part of stadium upgrades for the
2017 season.

The Captains receive daily coverage in The News-Herald
and numerous online media outlets. Other exposure for
the Captains included Clevelands Fox 8 News, WKYC
Channel 3, Channel 19, The Plain Dealer, ESPN
Cleveland, and 92.3 The Fan.

Signage is the most visible branding and advertising option available,
reaching a captive audience for three (3) to four (4) hours.
Signs receive over 2.5 million impressions annually
Include an interactive in-game promo such as, when a ball hits your sign,
one lucky fan wins a prize to draw more attention to your sign.
Most requested piece of inventory and is sold on a first-come, first-serve
basis

Outfield Signs
New to 2017, the Captains introduced inning sponsorships on the brand new
video board where the digital sign was shown next to player headshots/stats
for an entire inning.
The sponsor also received a complete inning takeover during that inning.

Brand an area of Classic Park and in addition to the in-park
exposure to over a quarter of a million fans, youll also be
included in print publications such as 150,000 pocket
schedules, 60,000 On Deck Programs, 10,000 ticket brochures
and in the Classic Park stadium map.

Specialty Signage
Concourse signs measure 5 x 5 and are located
throughout the main concourse of Classic Park.
Signs are spread out and placed near restrooms,
concession stands and drinking fountains.
Great for branding and displaying detailed
information about your product or services.
Signs are limited and are available on a first-
come, first-served basis.

Over 16 million vehicles pass by Classic Park, annually.
At an average of two people per vehicle, the digital
billboard receives around 32 million impressions,
annually.

Between inning promotions are the essence of Minor League Baseball and are
interactive for both participants and fans alike.
Include both PA and video board recognition before, during and after the promotion.

In 2017, the Captains hosted 20 fireworks
shows following select Friday, Saturday,
Sunday, and Monday games, which drew
the largest crowds of the season.
Sponsors are included in all Captains
print materials, in-park ads and radio
broadcasts while also receiving a custom
fireworks logo used to promote each
event.
The sponsor receives a party suite for 20
people or 50 group tickets, a ceremonial
first pitch and their logo displayed on the
video board during the show.

Post-Game Fireworks
On Deck is a full-color program given away for FREE at
every Captains home game.
Annual distribution of over 60,000 per season.
Multiple issues printed with updated stories, rosters and
information about the Captains.
Ads can feature a coupon or bounce-back offer to drive
traffic to your location.

The Captains print 150,000 pocket schedule each year
Pocket schedules are distributed to various businesses
throughout northeast Ohio.
Provides exposure season-long from March through
September with fans using schedules for game times,
upcoming promotions, ticket information and the Classic Park
seating chart.
Can be used as a coupon opportunity.

The Captains coupon book is printed in two (2)
production runs of 10,000 pieces each and handed
to fans for FREE as they exit the ballpark during
select, premium game dates.
The Captains make PA announcements towards
the end of games in which the coupon books are
handed out highlighting sponsors within the
books.

Over 200,000 Lake County Captains tickets
are printed annually and coupons appear on
the back of every fourth ticket.
Ticket back partners receive logo and verbal
recognition during all 70 Captains home
games via PA and video board mentions.

Sponsor a giveaway item for 1,000-5,000 fans.
Giveaway partners are included in pre-
promotion PA reads at the ballpark, print and
radio ads, Route 91 digital billboard, pocket
schedules, On Deck program and online at

Receive a concourse table and first pitch on the
night of the giveaway.

Promotional Giveaways
The Captains Reading Program reaches hundreds of
schools in Northeast Ohio as over 30,000 children
participate. Each child participant receives a Captains
bookmark and pencil set and children who complete the
program receive a free ticket to a Captains game, free hot
dog, free Kids Zone voucher, free premium giveaway item
and an on-field parade with their classmates.

CaptainsBaseball.com has over 250,000 unique
visitors annually with over 1 million page views from
those visitors.
Ads on the website are placed in a prime location
directly under the main story on the front page.
Youll also be included in a minimum of one (1)
e-mail newsletter which has a subscriber base of
nearly 19,000 Captains fans!

games.
The Captains radio announcer will include the

our PA announcer to go along with a 10-second read
and video board graphic.
Your company will be recognized as a Captains Partner

Pitching Change or the 7th Inning Stretch.
The Platinum Media Package includes all of the above
in addition to receiving recognition in the stadium from
