Selection Process: I am confident in my ability to improve my writing through revision.

In AP
Literature, we did three best of three essays, which all required revision of an in-class essay. I
selected this specific one because revision had the greatest impact on this draft.

Mastery: Above is the final draft of my best of three poetry question, For That He Looked not
Upon Her, and the corresponding Account of Revisions, which shows the revisions I made and
the reasoning behind them. I also put the rough draft of my essay on the left for comparison. By
looking at my Account of Revisions, it is evident that the changes I made to my rough draft were
for the better. For example, BP2 revision 1 demonstrates how I made my opening sentence tie
back to my claim and be more coherent.

Concluding Statement: I believe that, eight times out of ten, I can revise and edit my essay to
be more persuasive and compelling than the initial piece.
