Selection Process: There actually have been only a few occasions where I used technology to

interact and collaborate. Since I will be using the research essay for standards seven and eight, I
did not want to use it here as well. Thus, I chose this work where my partner and I wrote the
piece together.

Mastery: As you can see, this piece is not a formal essay, it is an outline answering the prompt
written in the same document. However, what it does demonstrate is the use of technology to
collaborate others. For this outline, I worked with Rayna and together we discussed our thoughts
on the prompt we wrote in class and successfully wrote an outline that included carefully
selected evidence and sub-claims that synthesized well together. On the right, I placed a
screenshot of the revision history to show that we worked together.

Concluding Statement: In this new day and age, it is important to be tech-savvy (at least with
Google Docs for Vista English). Moving forward, I will be able to collaborate with others on
Google Docs and other platforms.
