CourseSynopsis : ThiscourseaimstodevelopstudentsabilitytouseofEnglish
foracademicpurposesintheuniversity.Thecourseenhances
students reading skills by teaching them how to extract
information from different parts of the text. Students are
taughthowtoparaphraseinformationfromvariousacademic
textstopresenttheirthoughtsinspokenandwrittenforms.
They are guided to produce types of writing frequently
requiredinuniversityassignmentsusingaccuratecitationand
referencingconventionsaswellasappropriatestructuresand
languagefeatures.
