AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Please bring a photo and resume.
All those who would like to be considered for Ensemble, Peggy, Billy, Annie, or
Andy should attend the dance call.
Prepare 2 contrasting 16 bar cuts from traditional MT repertoire that
demonstrates a strong, sustained sound.
Please sing music appropriate to show.
Please be advised that we may not need to hear both songs.
Characters
Peggy Sawyer Nervous but enthusiastic new chorus girl from Allentown, PA.,
strong tap skills.
Billy Lawlor Charming leading tenor in Pretty Lady, strong tap.
Dorothy Brock A glamourous and seasoned Broadway Star who is past her
prime. Also a Prima Donna, renowned for inability to dance.
Julian Marsh Legendary Broadway show director.
Maggie Jones Co-author of Pretty Lady. Also stars as the shows comic lead.
Bert Barry Co-author of Pretty Lady. Also stars as the shows comic lead.
Andy Lee Choreographer/Dance Director of Pretty Lady.
Pat Denning Dorothys former vaudeville partner and romantic interest.
Abner Dillon - Dorothys Sugar Daddy from Oklahoma who is the Angel for
Pretty Lady.
Mac Stage Manager
Ann Anytime Annie Reilly - An experienced chorus girl and sub-principal in
Pretty Lady with strong tap skills.
Oscar Onstage rehearsal pianist for the show Pretty Lady. Big plus if the actor
can play piano well.
Ensemble - There are many Ensemble roles in this show, with opportunities for
both solos and speaking roles, including Lorraine, Phyllis, and the rest of the
shows chorines; some Mafia thugs; waiters; doctor; and party guests.
