SURFACE • This coating is usually applied over a suitable primer undercoat or build coat. The underlying system
PREPARATION should be sound and un damaged.
• Remove all wax, oil and grease by solvent cleaning in accordance with the guidelines given by SSPC-SPI.
• Soluble salts, dirt and dust must be removed prior to coating. Dry brushing should be sufficient. A
freshwater wash must follow to remove all soluble salts.
• Always ensure the maximum overcoating time for the primer/build coat has not been exceeded prior to
application.
• A number of Berger Primers can be adopted depending on contract requirements.
• For all general structural steelwork, piping, ducting etc, apply 2 coats of either LUXAPRIME 1400 or
LUXAPRIME 1300. These would normally be applied after fabrication and/or erection.
• When blast cleaning is employed, should a holding primer be required, apply one coat of EPILUX 66 to 25
microns.
• For galvanized, metal sprayed or aluminium surfaces, pre-treat with one coat of LUXAPRIME 1500
followed by Bergerlac Aluminium finish.
• On Timber apply one coat of Bergerprimer synthetic wood primer followed by Bergerlac Aluminium finish.

PRODUCT USE • Not suitable for immersed conditions.

INSTRUCTIONS • Should not exceed dry film thickness more than 40 micron per coat
• Dry heat resistance up to 150°C
• May also be applied between 25 and 40 Microns DFT

SAFETY • Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing such as overalls, goggles, dust
masks and gloves. Use a barrier cream.
