Day 2

On Tuesday, 28 November 2017 we had 1 class with Dr Carol Hutchinson. She explained about
nutrition from pregnancy to early childhood. She said the nutrition during pregnancy is very
important because it will make body of the baby especially the brain. After the pregnancy the baby
will born and the mother should prepare for lactation. When the lactation the mother should prepare
nutrition to increase the production of breastmilk. The breastmilk is very important because it
contain colostrum which important for baby immune so the mother should do the lactation until 6
month. After that when the baby growth to be infans and toddler, the mother can give them
complementary foods. It’s because during toddler period they need more energy for growth. And
finally I think the information that given by Mr.Carol is very important for us as a nurse.

occupational and environmental policy, and the last about roles and functions of occupational
health nurses in Thailand. She has very much experience about occupational health nurse and she
gave us example about that. So that makes us easy to learn about OHN. And also she said in
Thailand they have a clinic for just for occupational health provided by their government. I was so
very interested about that, because in Indonesia we don’t have clinic like that. I think in the future
the Indonesian government could adopt that system to increase occupation health.

the breast feeding in society. The hope by that organization they can increase the breast feeding
rate in Thailand.

Day 5

On Friday, 1 December 2017 we went to Rattanagosin Exhibition Hall. That is one of Bangkok's
newest museums, opened in 2010, the Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall recounts the rich history of
Bangkok's royal city, referred to locally as Rattanakosin Island. This new generation museum is
targeted mostly at Thais, and uses an impressive array of technological tricks to lure in the locals,
who have something of an extreme disdain for museums. Although it aims to attract Thais, the
museum will still be of interest to western visitors. The Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall is located
near the Golden Mount and Loha Prasat, in one of the old buildings along Ratchadamnoen Road.
"Rattanakosin" is the name of the original royal city area of Bangkok, where the Grand Palace,
Wat Po and National Museum are located. The museum recounts the history of this area of
Bangkok, and thus the history of the current ruling dynasty. I hope Indonesia especially Bali can
makes the museum like that to increase the knowledge about our history.
