We hereby certify that we have made an inspection of the above mentioned barge/tug and
the towing arrangements and would make the following recommendations, which are to be
strictly adhered to during the period of the intended voyage: -
2.) The operational speed of tow during the voyage is to be reduced to a more
manageable speed in the events of the vessel encountering with boisterous weather
and / or adverse sea condition.
We confirm that all the recommendations made for the preparation of the voyage and the
intended voyage has been satisfactory completed and considered it fit to proceed on the
intended tow voyage under normal weather condition.

TOWING / SAILING RECOMMENDATION
1.) Voyage to commence within five (5) days after survey, Departure and clearance to be
made in daylight.
2.) On departure there to be sufficient bunkers on board for intended voyage allowing safe
margin on minimum of three (3) days useable supply on arrival at destination.
3.) On departure sufficient fresh water, stores and spares to be on board for intended
voyage.
4.) Departure not to be undertaken unless weather condition allow with safety.
5.) To be advised prior to tow and on any alteration of changes in tug tow or towing
arrangements and further approval obtained.
6.) The bight of towline to be kept below sea surface, but clear of sea bottom. If towline
tends to break surface, speed should be reduced and the line lengthened to avoid
shock loading.
7.) The speed of the tow to be at Master’s discretion with due respect to safety of voyage
and cargo.
8.) Navigation lights and daylight towing signals are to be kept exhibited.
9.) Frequent weather forecast to be obtained by tug from area Metrological Authorities.
11.) Cargo and equipment lashed on deck to be inspected by Master whenever possible
and at all intermediated ports.
12.) In event towline parts and tugs cannot reconnect. Master to call for immediate
assistance and endeavour to remain in visual contact with tow until assistance arrives.

We have inspected the lashing and securing arrangement on the above mentioned vessel
and have found the lashing provided sufficient and taut.
We are of the opinion that the vessel is fit to proceed on the intended voyage under normal
