Abstract

This research was carried out under the qualitative approach; its main objective is to know
teachers and students’ perception after having integrated the TICs in the curriculum as an
innovative process of teaching and learning in science classes.
The problem defined on this research raise from the necessity of generating information
related to the curricular integration of TICs by teachers from an educational institution
located in San Pedro de la Paz for teaching sciences and knowing the teachers and students’
perception after having used TICs.
The methodology developed on this research was a phenomenological study based on
multiple cases, which let to know teachers and students’ perceptions related to the
implementation of a virtual platform, EVA-CCSP. To do this, a semi-structured interview
was applied to teachers and students as well; also there was a Focus Group which was
applied just to students after the intervention.
The following document is focused mainly on teachers and student’ perception about the
curricular integration of TICs, it is possible to infer that the educational institution, located
in San Pedro de la Paz, gives to teachers and students the possibility of implementing an
educational virtual platform, considering it as a favorable tool or technological resource for
the curricular integration of the biological, chemical and physical branches.
The utilization of TICs provoked on teachers a methodological innovation in the classroom
and an increase on students’ motivation for the sciences study, showing positive perceptions
related to the use and management of the resources for their educational formation.
