 Receiving inspection of raw materials. Checking all the pipes, plates for damages, scratches, all pipes and fittings such
as flanges preserved properly (flange face covered with wooden board, pipes ends protected with cap etc.).Checking
stainless steel material for corrosion/contamination & its storage (separate from carbon steel). Review of material test
reports.
 Welding consumable Inspection Performing receiving inspection of welding consumables checking condition, damages,
type, size, lot number & quantity against purchase order. Review of consumable test certificate, its availability on
welding material control room.
 Involved in procedure qualification with SMAW, GTAW, SAW process for materials like ASTM A106 Gr.B, (Carbon
Steel), AISI 304, 316 (Stainless Steel) & 409M .
 Reviewing of subcontractor welding procedures based on ISO 15609/ASME Sec IX with SMAW/GTAW process for All
Materials.
 Witnessing WQT – Involved in welder qualifications with SMAW/GTAW process.
 Preparing Weld Repair Rate Joint Basis & Linear Basis, for all Qualified Welders by weekly basis.
 Monitoring continuity Welder performance and discussions with client as well as subcontractors about Weld Repair
Rate for improve the quality in production.
 Weld drawings & P&ID_ Ensure drawing issued has latest revision number & is stamped as controlled copy as per
company ISO standards. All the drawings issued are clear and readable.
 Witnessing Non-Destructive examination such as liquid penetrate testing, magnetic particle testing, and ultrasonic
testing.
 Interpretation of radiograph_ Review Radiograph films.
