Learning Mainstream: By the end of the lesson pupils should be able to,
objectives 1. Draw and decorate their imaginative robot pets according to the audio.
2. Write a short and simple description about their pet robot.
Success criteria 1. Pupils are able to listen carefully to the audio and draw their
imaginative robot pet
2. Pupils are able to write 3 to 6 sentences to describe their imaginative
robot pet.
Activity 1
1. Get the pupils to listen to the audio in CD 3.
2. Pupils need to draw their imaginative robot pets according to the audio.
3. Teacher plays again the audio for the second time.
4. Pupils decorate their imaginative robot pets with coloured papers, glue,
scissors etc.
Activity 2
1. Pupils ready with their robot pets.
2. Teacher asks pupils to write a simple description about their robot pets:
Name , body parts (head, legs, ears, eyes, colour, ability)
3. For LINUS pupils, teacher distributes a short paragraph with blanks. Pupils
fill in the blanks according to their robot pets.
Eg:
My robot pet is a _________.
It has ________ legs and _____ head.
Activity 3
1. Pupils get ready with their artwork and short writing.
2. Teacher guides pupils to present their artwork in front of the class.
3. Pupils tell their friends about their robot pets without telling what it is
actually. The audiences need to guess what is the robot actually.
4. Pupils evaluate their friends’ artworks.
Closure
Teacher will ask pupils some question regarding the lesson. Teacher summarise
the lesson with pupils’ answers.
